Om Prakash Gupta (Managing director): Om Gupta a civil engineer, from BITS Pilani (‘69
batch) and Masters from Louisiana State University (USA),has always been the
entrepreneur. He has made the group grow from Patna to Jamshedpur, Delhi NCR
(Bhiwadi, Ghaziabad, Greater Noida and Gurgaon) and now to Jaipur, Jodhpur and
Lavasa. He is one of the pioneers in bringing professional maintenance of residential
complexes into India. His dream project, Ashiana Utsav, is of creating beautiful, serene
People Behind Utsav and secured environments for our valued seniors.
Vishal Gupta (Joint Managing Director): A product of Sydenham College (Mumbai) and
MBA from FORE school of management (Delhi), he has displayed an in-depth
understanding of the real estate business, customer psychology and the market behavior.
He has keen interest in conceptualizing, planning and detailing of new housing projects for
the company. He really has the eye for details.
A.K. Mattoo (Director): Mr. Mattoo a mechanical engineer, has over 40 years of experience
in administration, project planning, project execution, maintenance and operations. He
has served in major organisations namely Border roads (GREF), Bharat Heavy Electricals
Ltd. (BHEL) and Tata Steel. As deputy director and director town services he maintained
the municipal services for Jamshedpur. Mr. Mattoo has also served as the Chairman of the
Jamshedpur notified area committee. A well known sports administrator who has led
India as chef-de-mission for the SAF Games (’84), Asian Games (‘86) & Olympics (‘00) and
he is the treaser of the Indian Olympics Assocciation .

Varun Gupta (Director): A Bachelor in Science from Stern School of Business, NYU, Varun
majored in Finance and Management and graduated with the high academic distinction,
'Magna Cum Laude'. He then joined Citi Group in Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities
where he was underwriting commercial real estate. After a year and a half of this rich
experience, he has joined Ashiana where he is looking after Land and Finance and he is the
youngest member of the team
Sonal Mattoo (Director): An alumna of The Lawrence School, Sanawar, Sonal acquired
her BA. LLB (Hons) from the prestigious National Law School of India University,
Bangalore, (1991-1996: Five year integrated law course). In addition to specialised legal
work, Sonal has chosen to offer training programmes in particular soft skills to
companies. As Founder Director of Helping Hands an NGO working in the area of Legal
education and awareness & Preventing and Managing Sexual Harassment and Gender
Discrimination at the Work Place.
Ashok Gongopadhyay (VP ARVL): He served in the defence forces and para military
organization for over 25 years and now with Ashiana for over 12 years, has shown his
exemplary understanding of the real estate market and has shown the potential of
Bhiwadi to the customers of Ashiana. His extra curricular achievements include serving
as the secretary general of the Indian boxing federation and a member of the business
commission of international boxing association.
Shyamal Kumar Palit (General Manager Engg.): Civil (Engg.) Graduate with 21 years post
qualification experience in construction, have been working for Ashiana for last 16 years
from corporate office, overseeing construction related off-site construction management
activities. Prior to that, worked in field execution in diversified areas like high precision TV
towers, domical shell, bridge on tricky river of Assam, power plant in overseas project
and housing with Ashiana. Believe in continuous learning, reasonably flexible in human
relation and adaptation but strong and hardcore while devising and implementing
development tools.
