Đề dự đoán 1: Volunteers

TOPIC: More and more young people from wealthy countries are spending a short
time doing unpaid work such as teaching and building houses for communities in
poorer countries. What are the reasons for this? Who benefits more from this, the
communities or these young people?

In any era, serving the community is always a meaningful job. Nowadays, there
are many young people in wealthy countries involved in volunteer works such as
teaching or building houses in underprivileged countries. This trend develops
based on a number of specific reasons and brings benefits to both the youth and
society as a whole.

There are some advantages for adolescents who do work on a voluntary basis.
Firstly, this is an opportunity to help them polish their resumes when applying
for a job later. In a competitive labour market, volunteering is considered as a
pre-requisite to acquire chances of an interview with an organisation where they
might value candidates’performances for community. Secondly, altruism is
also seen as the core motivation that young people are likely to gain after the
trip. In fact, by doing unpaid work in poor nations, the youth will bring more
kindness to life and learn how to love and share more. Furthermore, they can

gain experience and boost their personal skills such as team working, report
writing and communication with others.

At the same time, these tasks will bring considerable benefits to both young
volunteers and underdeveloped countries. First of all, when poor countries are
supported in terms of education, housing and medicine, their citizens’ quality of
life might gradually be enhanced. It is so pleasant when children have schools to
learn, the poor have houses to stay and sick people have medicine to cure their
illnesses. Secondly, these work contain tangible values, which also connect and
tighten international friendships. When the young do volunteer work for
society, these tasks are more precious than solely financial aid packages. In
return, volunteer work are likely to bring a long-lasting sense of pride,
confidence and happiness to the participants.

In conclusion, as the world becomes a prosperous global village, it is full of

gratitude for young people who do community services in undeveloped
countries. These actions are certainly reciprocal for both the young and society.

"Trong nhịp sống nhanh của lối sống hiện đại, có một khuynh hướng đã trở nên quá
phổ biến đó là những người trẻ tuổi thường tới lui những khu trung tâm mua sắm
với tần suất cao. Theo ý kiến của tôi, sẽ có cả có lợi và bất lợi đối với cá nhân cũng
như toàn bộ xã hội.
Một là, Việc tăng lên nhu cầu mua sắm, ở góc độ xã hội, sẽ là một hình thức thúc đẩy
thương mại. Gần đây, mua sắm được xếp hạng ưa thích đối với hoạt động của người
trẻ khi lứa tuổi này dễ bị thu hút bởi những sản phẩm mới và họ sẵn lòng chi để đáp
ứng nguyện vọng chính mình. Khi các trung tâm mua sắm bán được nhiều sản phẩm,
doanh thu cao, sẽ có lợi cho thuế quốc gia cũng như một nền kinh tế triển vọng. Hai
là, ở góc độ cá nhân, tham gia hoạt động mua sắm thường xuyên cũng có thể mang
lại cho họ nhiều niềm vui. Ví dụ,một phụ nữ có thể có được trải nghiệm tuyệt vời và
sự hài lòng sau chuyến đi mua sắm trước khi trở lại công việc.
Tuy nhiên, bên cạnh những lợi ích ngắn hạn, vẫn còn tồn tại rất nhiều ảnh hưởng lâu
dài mà chúng ta nên xem xét kỹ lưỡng. Ở góc nhìn cá nhân, việc mua sắm thường
xuyên có thể gây cho người trẻ triệu chứng “tín đồ shopping”. Nếu người trẻ chỉ biết
lạm dụng thời gian rãnh cho những nơi như vậy, họ sẽ ít tham gia những hoạt động
ngoài trời cùng bạn bè, gia đình. Điều này ảnh hưởng đến sức khỏe cũng như giảm
chất lượng mối quan hệ xã hội của họ. Thứ hai là, ở quan điểm kinh tế và xã hội, rất
nhiều “con nghiện” shopping sẽ mắc phải những vấn đề tài chính khi họ mua sắm
quá mức cho phép.Ở một số trường hợp, họ sẽ chi thẳng tay tài khoản tín dụng, tuy
nhiên, ở một số khác, họ cũng có thể cầm cố nhà cửa để chi trả cho việc mua sắm. "
