The article is about the analysis of the Tañon Strait: Liloan - Dumaguete
Channel using Computational Fluid Dynamics. It discusses the topography of
the strait and how they affect the behaviour of the water under certain
conditions. The article also talks about the flow of the water in different areas
of the Tañon Strait: Liloan - Dumaguete Channel.

The results gathered stated that the water flows in a much higher velocity
right at the bay of Liloan, Santander near the port where there is a pointy
topography that causes the water to change direction. This change in direction
of the water causes the water on the other side of the port to be calmer and
more still since the normal flow of the water was redirected. It also states that
when the flow of the water is reversed the same principle would apply. Even
with the change of the water level, the same parts of the area are being
affected by the phenomenon. These findings mean that aside from wind and
gravity, topography also affects the behavior of the fluid. These are important
data because these data provide insights and information on the water flow in
Tañon Strait: Liloan - Dumaguete Channel which can help and improve marine
activities near or in the area. These data can also be used for future projects
that involves analysis and applications in Tañon Strait: Liloan - Dumaguete
Channel.

II. Synthesis of Major Concepts, Theories or Information

1. The bathymetry and geographical properties are the causes of the increase
of the flow of the water along the Tañon Strait. These properties have a
significant impact on the increase of velocity especially on high tides.

2. The water’s high velocity flow along the strait can be a potential source for
gathering abundant, pervasive, natural resources. The area can be a great
project for energy procurement.

3. The geographical feature of the Liloan bay is the cause of the formation of
whirlpools around the bay.
