Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)


After successful completion of the program, the graduates will be
ECPEO 1: Able to apply concepts of mathematics, science and computing to Electronics and
Communication Engineering
ECPEO 2: Able to design and develop interdisciplinary and innovative systems.
ECPEO 3: Able to inculcate effective communication skills, team work, ethics, leadership in preparation
for a successful career in industry and R&D organizations.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

At the end of the program, the student:


PSO1. Should be able to clearly understand the concepts and applications in the field of
Communication/networking, signal processing, embedded systems and semiconductor technology.
PSO2. Should be able to associate the learning from the courses related to Microelectronics, Signal
processing, Microcomputers, Embedded and Communication Systems to arrive at solutions to real world
problems.
PSO3. Should have the capability to comprehend the technological advancements in the usage of
modern design tools to analyze and design subsystems/processes for a variety of applications.
PSO4. Should posses the skills to communicate in both oral and written forms, the work already done
and the future plans with necessary road maps, demonstrating the practice of professional ethics and
the concerns for societal and environmental wellbeing.

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, P E S Collage of Engineering, has formulated the following programme educational objectives for
the under-graduate program in Mechanical Engineering:
The Mechanical Engineering graduates will be able to:
PEO1: Use the fundamentals of basic science, mathematics and mechanical engineering, to pursue their career as engineers as well as to lead
and manage teams in global organizations.
PEO2: Pursue advanced education, research and development and engage in the process of life-long learning.

domains.
 PSO3: Communication Theory and Practice: Possess application level knowledge in theoretical and practical aspects required for the
realization of complex communication systems.

 Acquire educational foundation that prepares them for professional careers / higher studies in the field of Electronics & Communication
engineering.
 Obtain in depth knowledge of the core discipline of Electronics & Communication engineering so that they will be successful in designing new
products and finding technically sound, cost effective and socially acceptable solutions to engineering problems.
 Utilize their knowledge, skills and resources to design, invent and develop novel technology and find creative and innovative solutions to
engineering problems in a multidisciplinary work environment.
 Develop attitude in lifelong learning, applying and adapting new ideas and technologies as their field evolves.

 PSO1: Apply science, engineering, mathematics through differential and integral calculus; to solve complex electronics and communication
engineering problems.
 PSO2: Demonstrate proficiency in use of software and hardware required to practice electronics and communication profession.

Upon completion of B. Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering Our Students will

 PEO 1
Have strong foundation in mathematical, scientific, engineering fundamentals and communication skills necessary to formulate, understand,
analyze and solve technological problems.

Have a technical background to design and develop systems in the main fields of electronics and communication systems.

 PEO 3
Practice the ethics of their profession consistent with a sense of social responsibility and develop their engineering design, problem solving
skills and aptitude for innovations as they work individually and in multi disciplinary teams.
