TREASURY MANAGER
BACK-OFFICE MANAGEMENT

Main purposes of the function

Global treasury center offers the opportunity to develop and manage inter-company funding programs for all
international subsidiaries using cash-pool structures, IC loans and deposits, or capital injections. These programs
focus on the design of the organization structure, the identification of a new technology platform and the
development of standard global processes.

Job description

The primary function of the Treasury Back-Office Manager will be to manage daily operations as follows:

 Treasury back office and administration.


 Maintenance, administration and development of the Treasury Management System and other Treasury
Solutions, to improve efficiency, maintain control, and enable better visibility of treasury transactions.
 Settlement and confirmation processing and control, plus query resolution. Ensure full segregation of
treasury back office functions.
 Oversee the input and processing of treasury transactions into the main accounting system.
 Coordination of statutory accounts from a treasury perspective.

Main tasks

Treasury Back-Office
 Control bank fees/interest charges: monitoring and validation of bank fees and interest charges.
 Responsible for maintaining the Bank’s banking signatory model for all treasury related activities;
 Responsible for maintaining the Bank’s banking signatory model for all signatories and transitioned entities;
 Responsible for maintenance and monitoring of the treasury processes and procedures’ manual;
 Responsible for the bank account management process i.e. opening, maintenance and closing of bank
accounts;
 Maintain bank accounts, bank signatories and bank connectivity contracts with a global master reference
data for bank accounts information within the Treasury Management System;
 Perform month-end reporting activities.
 Communicating with counterparties and other functions in order to solve ad hoc problems relating to
treasury transactions when required to;
 Championing the treasury function’s audit process for both internal and external audits including liaisons on
an audit follow-up points;
 Responsible for year-end audit process of bank accounts
 Monitor compliance of all treasury activities relative to policies and market best practices;

Treasury Support
 Bank connectivity management: ensuring that the SWIFT-to-TMS (and vice-versa) straight-through processing is
efficiently working;
 Bank connectivity management: monitoring of all bank transactions (bank-to-corporate and corporate-to-bank)
and handle rejected bank transactions for transitioned entities
 Responsible for the daily review of treasury reconciliation between the TMS and bank statements for all bank
accounts;
 Championing the daily review of bank reconciliation between the TMS and bank statements for all bank
accounts;
 Championing the management of the TMS interfaces with the Bank’s internal and external systems and
reconciliation of all treasury data to these systems;
 Championing the identification of issues and inaccuracies of treasury transactions and system setup issues and
resolving them;

Treasury Settlement
 Perform treasury deals confirmation and settlement activities: including confirmation matching, preparation
and management of confirmations,
 Settlement instruction preparation/input and maintenance; management of daily settlement routines and
enforcement of business controls.
 Liaising with counterparties to process all front-office treasury activities including handling any queries arising
after deal execution;
 Maintaining the Bank’s SSI’s details in the TMS and perform SWIFT/Telephone check confirmations;
 Execute data entry into the treasury management system: input of intercompany and external deals, etc...

Treasury Systems Administration, Development and Integration


 Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of Treasury Systems.
 Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible frauds or security breach.
 Provide timely beeper duty support and issue resolution to treasury and other business teams and prompt
closure of issues; timely communication with all system users.
 Provide users support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.
 Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
 Maintain transactions & application settings in various treasury and bank systems
 Actively participate in developing and integrating standard processes, systems, tools and infrastructures for
treasury.
 Support and maintain day-to-day installation and configuration procedures.
 Contribute to and maintain system standards.
 Develop automated approach for system administration tasks for foreign subsidiaries; Identify approaches that
leverage our resources and provide economies of scale across the group.

Key requirements

 Holder of a Master Degree in Finance.


 At least 3-5 years of experience in Finance or a combination of Finance, Banking and Knowledge Management.
 In depth knowledge of treasury systems as well as strong system and internet aptitude.
 Perfect command of French and English (other European languages would be an asset).
 MS Office suite of application (Excel, Access,...).
 Ability to work and succeed in a multi-cultural environment.
 Strong analytical, planning, project management and communication skills.
 Demonstrated ability to excite plans and achieve positive results on time in a fast-paced global virtual
organization.
 Flexible, resistant, team-player, proactive, results-oriented.
