The subject of this SCR are steel supports for DI pipes in Potable Water tank and the
comments which are raised by consultant regarding to brackets designed in previous revision
P3-SCR-ST-1041 REVISION 0.

Consultant comment No 1:
The submitted calculations should be consistent with the drawings. Refer to sketch 1 & 6
Kindly be informed that offset of pipe center line 725 mm as is shown in atached sketch 1.
The calculation are based on offset of 1500 mm, and designed bracket is more safe since the
structural system is cantilever and it is identified as safe for 1500 mm so for 750mm (double
less) is more safe. As it is stated in revision 0 the worst case is considered and the details are
applicable for 300 mm as well. The sketch for the concept is typical as is shown on attached
sketch 1.
For the concrete supports and consultants comments to provide calculations, kindly note
that these supports are subject to dead load only (vertical force) and the same will be checked
by concrete engineer. These supports are not part of these SCR since the steel clamp and the
anchors are adopted structuraly for dead vertical force, meaning there is no pull out and shear
force to determine the clamps and the anchors. The same is shown on attached sketch 2, and
also clarified at page 79 in revision 0.

Consultant comment No 2:
Support for 600 mm dia is not part of this calculations and the submitted calculation
for 400 mm is not covering this part. Refer to sketch 3.
Please be informed that after discussion with MEP department it is stated that this 600
mm bracket is not required since it is just elbow and the same elbow will be supported from
the concrete wall. So this bracket is totally canceled. Please refer to attached sketch 3.

Consultant comment No 3:
The contractoe is advised to use chemical anchors as shown in the attached sketches.
Please note that we will comply fully with this comment and the same will be shown on
shop drawings which will be sent for your kindly approval.
