Why have you chosen your careers? How has the journey been so far?

Since I live in a city near the sea, I have chosen this carreer from highschool because it was my big
dream to work on the sea. Later I have figured out that this job challenges both my personal and
profession skills. It is a big opportunity to work among people all over the world because of the
different cultures and ways of mutual interaction.

The wish of having a good professional live, the interest shown by the company I work for towards its
employees, a great and helpful team and a salary which should properly reveal the amount and quality
of work I do are the things which motivate me in my career.

Do you seek any particular challenges in a position?

I am on open person who can face challenges in his job thus I don’t seek, but I can manage any sort of
challenges at any level they might occur.

What are your short and long term career goals?

Since I’ve been doing this job for many years now I can say that I choose to have long term goals.
Anyway, in my point of view we cannot have a long term goal without having short term aims that is
why short term goals are very important in reaching the long term ones. So, short terms goals are
important now and once they are fullfiled the long term goals ought to be reached.

Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult person. How did you handle the
situation?

Working with people from other cultures is always a difficult task. I cannot point out a certain
situation because on the ship there are always people facing difficult moments which make them act
more or less objective, but in my point of view the ways of solving an unpleasant situation is to have
patience, to think clearly, to listen to all parts and to find a solution which best fits the majority
eventhough I might not be included, sometimes, in this majority.

What is the biggest career mistake you have made?

Since I am still working in this area, I think I have made no big mistakes so far.

All my decisions and projects were proved to be good and successful.

Which is more important to you, the job or salary?

In order to earn a ggod salary I have to do my work properly that is why I think the job is the most
important because if you have a job which suits you perfectly, you will reach your targets and of
course, you will be paid as deserved.
