The Central Public Procurement Portal of Government of India provides a single point access to the
information on all procurements made across various central government organizations across the
country. It facilitates electronic tendering using Government eProcurement System of NIC (GePNIC)
which aims at transparency and non discrimination amongst bidders, by allowing free access to tender
documents, clarifications, secure on line bid submission and access to bid opening event. The pilot
tender using this system was floated in Nov 2007. We complete 10 long years of successful
implementation PAN India.

National Informatics Centre (NIC), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India
has developed eProcurement software system, GePNIC to cater to the electronic procurement/ tendering
requirements of the Government departments and organizations. The system is being used for processing tenders
of Goods, Services & Works by various Government entities.
November 2017 commemorates the 10th year of implementation with a record High of 1,00,537 tenders
which were processed electronically worth ₹ 2,39,208.71 Cr.
During this month total 233 Tender cum Auction (eRA) published.
