etc., daily before the office hours.
He will be on call during the allotted time.
He will announce the arrival of visitors to the officer concern and help
them to the officer corcerned in an orderly manner.
He will attend to the telephone calls when officer is not in his seat.
He will carry IN correspondence and files from the main office to the
officer desk & carry Out correspondence from officers desk.
He will ran errands on official business within the Hospital and outside
if necessary.
He will bring Tea and other refreshment from the canteen to the officer
concerned whenever required.
He will expeditiously deliver the out going mail to the addresses and
post offices and bring the incoming mail from the post office and other
officers.
He will assist in moving stores from one place to another within the
Hospital. When ordered by responsible personnel.
He will move stores from and to the Hospital or go to bank for
cash/cheque etc.,
He will assist in packing parcels closing and stamping of letters
whenever necessary and authorized by responsible personnel he will
also do duties of Chowkidar.

Pharmacist
1) Compounding and dispensing prescriptions according to the hospital
formulary or prescriptions of doctors in the hospital.
2) Being responsible for initiating the indents, storage and maintenance of
stocks and accounting of medical supplies and appliances under his
charge.
3) Providing first-aid to the injured and repeat prescriptions of physicians
when ordered.
4) Compiling statistics of hospital in accordance with the instructions of the
hospital authorities.
5) Attending to the work of the clinical side room and doing the routine tests
of urine, faeces and blood , provided he has undergone adequate training.
6) Performing such other duties as may be assigned by the hospital
authorities.

1. He will receive, store and issue supplies according to scales whenever
prescribed or with reference to orders issued by the officer incharge
kitchen.

kitchen for approval.
4. He will maintain stock registers satisfactorily.

1. To be responsible that the theatre to which they are posted is in fit condition
i.e. cleaned and sterilized.
2. To assist OT technician in making position of the patient on the table.

5. To ensure that anaesthesia trolley has all the instruments. Equipments,
drugs, syringes etc.
6. To guide N/A in transfer of patient from OT table to trolley and to recovery
room.
7. To wash instruments, endotracheal tube etc. thoroughly as per instruction.
8. To take universal precaution while handling soiled anaesthesia instruments.
Lab Technician
a) To receive blood samples for grouping and cross matching along with
requisition forms wards/PT/labour room and others.
b) To perform emergency duty on rotational basis.
c) To perform grouping of all donors(Voluntary), bleeding of donors, labeling,
documenting, storing and issuing blood.
d) Grouping and cross matching of all blood samples for routine and
emergency demand from ward, operation theatre etc. and issuing matched
blood as and when required.
e) Doing RH factor and Coomb’s test wherever required and to maintain the
record in the register.
f) To issue infusion sets to all the deptt., of hospital as demanded.
g) To supervise laboratory attendant in performing his duties.
OT Supervisor
Statistical Assistant
a. Disposal of all letters received in the department.
b. Maintenance of filed for different subjects dealt with in the
department.
c. Secrutiny of Statistical returns compiled by the Admission and
Discharge Analysis /Desk and the Medical Statistics Desk.
d. Forwarding of statistical returns to the D.G.H.S. and other agencies.
e. Control of furniture, linen and stationary items through proper
inventory, preparation of monthly indents for these items.
f. Supervision of the department work in the absence of Medical
Record Officer.
g. Participation in the training programmes of the department.
Laboratory Technician
1. Collection of sample.
2. Preparation of blood smear.
3. To perform clinical laboratory tests like blood , urine, stool, liver function
tests, kidney function tests etc.
4. To follow the Hospital waste management guidelines in disposal of left
over blood and sample bottles.
5. To maintain record of all investigation done on a register.
6. To prepare dispatch/distribute report of outdoor and indoor patients.
7. To observe courteous behaviour, with patients.
8. To perform emergency rotational duties.
9. To supervise the work of subordinate staff.
Laboratory Assistant
1. To collect specimen.
2. To prepare smear for examination.
3. Centrifugation and preparation of urine deposits for smear
examination and culture and sensitivity to pathogenic organism.
4. Taking weight of chemicals for preparing standard solution and
preparation of stock media for bacteriological work.
5. To autoclave used blood culture bottles and dishes.
6. Sterilising and maintaining glassware by autoclaving.
7. To perform serological tests for various isolated organisms.
8. Bateriological tests to prevent hospital acquired infection.
9. To check efficiency of autoclaving of instruments, linen etc. in CSSD.
10. To take universal precautions while handling blood and body fluids
and to follow guidelines on Hospital Waste management for safe
disposal of samples left.
11. To keep account of stores related to department.
12. To prepare monthly statistics of investigation done.
Head Cooks
1)He will supervise the work of kitchen staff working under him.
2)He will see to the care and maintenance of the equipment.
3)He will see to the sanitation and cleanliness of the department.
4)He will open and close the kitchen.
5)He will maintain and improve standards of food preparation and
service.
6) He will represent kitchen staff to the dietician.
7) He will supervisor the food service.
8) He will check wastage, spoilage of food, etc.
9) He will assign duties of the kitchen staff whenever necessary.
10) He will report about gas requirements to the store keeper.
11) He will do any other duty that may be assigned to him from time to
time.
12) The Head Cook and Cooks should see that the various meals are
supplied to the hospital according to the following timings.
Morning Tea 6:30 to 7:30 A.M.
Breakfast 8:00 to 9:30 A.M.
Lunch 12:00 (Noon) to 2 P.M.
Evening Tea 3:00 to 4:30 P.M.
Dinner 6:00 to 7:30 P.M.

The Principal directs the educational and non teaching staff of the college in
conducting programme in coordination with the Vice principal.
1. Financial:
Plans and revises short term and long term budget for the college.
Acts as drawing and disbursing officer.
Monitors all college expenditure
2. Educational:
Monitors educational programmes of the college.
a) Coordinates with Vice principal the planning, implementation and
evaluation of the programmes
b) Implementation and evaluation of continuing educational
programmes.
Identifies professional development needs of faculty members and
facilities staff development programme in coordination with the heads
of departments/ coordinators.
Acts as:
Chairman of committee of course, college council and staff body.
Member of academic council, science faculty etc
Examination superintendent for BSc (Hons) nursing.
Informs:
Staff on matters related to educational programme conducted at the
college.
Staff on matters related to personal and work policies.
Identifies conflict among staff members and initiates solution.
Informs students on changes in college policies, procedures and
standards.
Facilitates student and staff guidance services.
Informs parents about student status and reviews reports of student
performance.
Facilitates communication interpersonal relationship both inter and intra
departmental and with other institutions at state, national and
international levels.
Overview:
The Vice Principal assists Principal in directing the staff (Teaching and non
teaching) of the college in conducting teaching programs. She assists Principal
and in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating educational programs.
1. FINANCIAL:
Assists Principal in carrying out financial activities:
i) In operating government and accounts
ii) Planning and revising budget.
iii) Monitoring college expenditure.
In the absence of Principal performs all the functions listed above.
2. EDUCATIONAL:
Assists Principal in monitoring the educational programmes of the
college.
Assists Principal in planning implementation and evaluation of the
programmes.
Assists Principal in identifying needs for professional development
of faculty and facilitates conducts staff development programme.
Participates in teaching various educational programmes.
Acts as:
a) In the absence of Principal, chairs the assigned committee
meetings.
b) Assists in conduct of admission procedures and final
university examination.
a) Supervises clinical experience of all educational programmes in
coordination with coordinators.
b) Guides faculty in day to day academic activities of all
educational programmes.
Guides and monitors students cumulative record for all
educational programmes, maintained by respective programme
coordinators.
Reviews student progress reports and activities and offers
academic guidance.
3. SUPERVISORY:
Shares responsibility with Principal in supervision of teaching and
non teaching staff.
i) Plans academic staff assignments in consultation with Principal
ii) Participates in conduct of orientation program for new faculty
members.
iii) Supervises and guides staff in conducting their activities.
iv) Writes staff performance report and reviews evaluation report of
assigned staff.
v) Assists Principal in monitoring student’s welfare activities eg. (mess,
hostel. health, sports, S.N.A) etc
vi) Assists Principal in administration and supervision of library.
vii) Monitors all leave privileges of teaching staff.
viii) Assists Principal in maintaining discipline in the college.
4) ESTABLISHMENT:
i) Assists Principal in maintaining law and order in college campus.
ii) Supervises overall functioning of staff and students hostel.
iii) Assists Principal in facilitating work in CPWD.
5) INTERPERSONAL:
i) Assists Principal informing:
a) Staff on matters related to educational programmes
conducted at the college.
b) Staff on matters related to personal and work policies.
ii)Identifies conflict among staff members, initiates solution and
reports to Principal when necessary.
iii) Communicates with staff in explaining administrative
constraints.
iv) Informs students of changes in college policies, procedures and
standards.
v) Facilitates guidance and counseling students and staff as per need.
vi) Informs parents about student status and reviews reports of
student performance.
vii) Any other responsibility assigned by the Principal.
