PLC based two color mixer Machine

Working

This is a PLC based fully automated system. In this project PLC plays a vital role in
the control system. PLC is responsible for all the functioning. PLC is the latest and
commonly used technology in industries. In this project we are going to design a
color mixer using conveyor and PLC. A bowl will move on the conveyor belt and
whenever it comes near to the first sensor then PLC will take action and will stop
the conveyor at the same time PLC will start the first valve to add the first color in
the bowl. After the predefined time PLC will stop the first value and issue a
command to move the conveyor.

Whenever it comes near to the second sensor then PLC will generate a stop
command for conveyor at the same time PLC will start the second valve to add
the second color in the bowl. After the predefined time PLC will stop the second
value and issue a command to move the conveyor.

For example a mixture of yellow and green color is used for making blue color.

Project Description
Belt Conveyor is a kind of machine that to transfer the material continuously. The
belt works under the effect of frictional force. It is not only the components to
transfer the material, but also the components to transfer the force. The Belt
Conveyor is advanced and simple in structure, easy to maintain. Its transfer
capacity is high, transfer distance is long. This belt is used to move the object to
one place to another place.
Conveyor belt consist of two motor and a belt, which rotates on the two axis, as
the belt move object moves. Both the motors should have a constant speed it is
very important to design conveyor belt.

Proximity sensor is an electronic device that emits and/or detects infrared

radiation in order to sense some aspect of its surroundings. Infrared sensors can
detect the object. Many of these types of sensors only measure infrared
radiation, rather than emitting it, and thus are known as passive infrared (PIR)
sensors.

Electrical Valve is used to on/off the supply of liquid colors. We can control these
valves eclectically.

Power Supply is the essential part of every electronics circuit. Power supply
circuit consists of +24 V DC to drive PLC and other sensors.
DC Gear Motors are used to provide the motion to conveyor. As we have dc
power supply so we use the DC motor instead of AC motors.

Relay is an electromagnetic switch, which is used to control the high with

switching with the low power input switching. In this project we use the relay to
switch on/off the electronics valves.

PLC is the heart of this system we are using zileo based PLC, which has 12 inputs
and 8 outputs.
