LIEUTENANT COLONEL JORGE I. JIMENEZ
Lt. Col. Jorge I. Jimenez is the Director, Financial Management & Comptroller for the Air
Forces Central Command, Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina. He is the senior
financial advisor to the AFCENT Commander and directorate leadership. He is
responsible for the effective planning, execution, and accounting of a $1.2 billion
budget. He leads a team of 34 personnel at Shaw AFB, which also provides oversight
and financial management support to 45 deployed personnel at eight locations in the
AFCENT area of responsibility.

Lt. Col. Jimenez graduated from the University of Puerto Rico in 1998 and was
commissioned through the Reserve Officer Training Corps. He is an Air Force financial
management officer with experience in a wide range of financial functions and
organizational levels, and is a certified defense financial manager. He has deployed
twice in support of Operation Enduring Freedom Afghanistan and supported combined
joint task forces and humanitarian relief operations.
