Joe Barth Jr., former head
coach (1981-2000) of the power-
house Brooklawn American Legion
Baseball Team, a team with a proud
60-year tradition. Founded by Joe’s
father, Joe Bart Sr., Brooklawn
Legion is recognized nationwide as
one of the finest baseball programs
in the country.
Joe has been running camps for
players of all ages since 1984, and has
always been dedicated to giving play-
ers the highest quality of instruction,



while keeping the fun in the game he
loves. He is considered by both col-
lege and professional coaches to be
one of the finest hitting instructors in
America today. The Hit Doctor’s
comprehensive, individualized train-
ing system for hitters is unlike any-
thing normally offered in camp situa-
tions. The Hit Doctor Baseball

game, with instructional techniques
and drills unlike anything the average

offers a truly unique and
inspiring summer program
with its new summer dance camp for
ages 6-10 from June 26 to July 7,
which introduces different styles of
dance each day. Full and half days are
available. July 10 to Aug. 3, they offer
a summer intensive program for ages
8-18, which features master classes
by dancers of the Pennsylvania Ballet.
No previous training is required. The
intensive program is a great place to
have both a fun summer and gain
new skills and expertise with dance
classes in styles such as ballet, point
and variations, jazz, hip hop, tap, con-
temporary and choreography.
Also on the schedule are once
weekly classes held in the evening
and offered to students 3 and up.
Aug. 14-31, they offer a Back To
School Workshop designed to get

The camp is safety certified by the
state, and all lifeguards are Red
Cross certified. There is always a
head lifeguard on duty at the pool
along with counselors that are certi-

The counselors are trained gym-
nasts/cheerleaders and are able to
overlook and spot your child during
gym time. All areas are fenced in and
adults are required for your child’s
entry at the beginning and exit at the
conclusion of each camp day. We
take the safety of your children very

mitting), two outdoor swimming

Reaction Lacrosse camps are
directed by Joe Duncan, former
standout defenseman and captain at
Rutgers University. Joe is also a
member of the English National
Lacrosse Team where he competed
in the '06 and '10 World Games. He
is originally from Mountain Lakes,
where he was a high school all-
American. With Joe, Reaction
Lacrosse features other world-class
players and coaches with only the
highest credentials as staff through-
out the camp week.

zipline, paddle a canoe, build a camp-

Our 800-acre facility is a hidden
gem in the Pines of South Jersey, the
ideal location for our three camps,
Ockanickon for boys,
Matollionequay for girls and Lake
Stockwell Day Camp. Pristine lakes
provide the perfect venue for swim-
ming, canoeing and kayaking. Acres
of pine forest offer the picture-per-
fect setting for outdoor living skills
and earth education. Our state-of-
the-art ropes course is ideal for
team-building and confidence-boost-
ative arts round out the list of activ-
ities your child will experience.
Camp Ockanickon is a traditional
overnight camp that provides a sup-
portive environment for a young
man’s journey toward independence.
Living in a rustic cabin with boys his
own age helps each camper learn to
cooperate and build friendships.
Counselors, trained to be mentors,
teach skills that build confidence and
self-esteem.
Camp Matollionequay is a tradi-
tional overnight camp for girls.
Campers get to explore personal
limits, build self-esteem and discover
independence in a safe, supportive
and nurturing environment. At Lake
Stockwell Day Camp, campers grow,
develop and make friends while
exploring new and exciting activities.
Leadership opportunities and off-
available for teen campers. There’s
something for everyone!
