1. First of all do you believe Beauty is in the eye of the beholder? How so?

I do believe that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Like if you ask someone what/who they
think is beautiful you will get different answers. What some people find beautiful, other might not
think so.

Maybe beauty is not in the eye of the beholder according to CLASSICAL Greek Art.

The Greeks developed the first style that seems to have tapped into what we as humans
 eauty. What does
find universally as "beauty"; it possibly could be called "intrinsic" b
"intrinsic" mean? click: INTRINSIC
2. In your own words explain intrinsic:

Intrinsic beauty means that everything has a correct proportion and is in a similar style that you
find in nature. There is a perfect proportion for everything.

3. Do you believe that Greek art (click here: GREEK, and then scroll to the bottom) is
more intrinsically beautiful than modern art? (click here: MODERN).

Yes I believe that Greek art is more intrinsically beautiful than Modern art.

Why? or Why not?

I think it is because Greek art does have proportions and it is in the natural for the most part.
While Modern art does not really have any proportions and most of it is not in a natural state.

Perhaps, a basic reason for this CLASSICAL beauty can be found in the discovery of the
Golden Section (pythagoras).
Go to this video about the Golden Section: GOLDEN SECTION THEN watch this: R eal,

4. How was the golden section utilized in the design of the Parthenon? (watch this:
Parthenon design)

It was just used to make perfect proportions and distance from all of the pillars and roof, etc.

4. So, What is the golden section--in your own words?

The Golden Section is the mathematical way of finding perfect proportions, and is actually found
in nature in a lot of places.
5. Do the golden proportions influence what you think of as beautiful?
How so? Give 2 examples in both Art and or Nature (include small thumbnail visuals).

Yes, proportions do influence what I think is beautiful. When someone draws a person
unproportional, they do not look as beautiful as when they draw that same person proportional.
Same goes with nature, when you look at nature such as a leaf it is proportional and is so pretty.

6. Do you think if someone created a Greek statue like those of ancient Greek, they
would now receive the same acclaim and respect--if no, explain. If yes, how so?

I don’t think that they would get the same respect now. With our age of electronics, we are
looking for stuff that catches our eye more and is something that we would not expect. Greek
statues have been around for so long and pretty much all of us have seen them before so it
won’t be as popular.

The following are three architecturally significant buildings from Ancient Greece. Which
of the three is an entrance, has caryatids, and held one of the 7 ancient wonders of the
world?

2. Erechtheum

How come Mimetic has lasted through all the centuries of time and continues to
