LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas –

Russ Racop, a potential candidate for the Ward 6 position on the Little Rock Board of
Directors announces the formation of the Racop for Little Rock Board Exploratory Committee.

Racop stated, “I expect the incumbent, Doris Wright, to get support from real estate developers
and Chamber of Commerce affiliated PAC's as she has in the past. She has not taken up my
challenge to announce that she will not take contributions from those groups as I have”.

Racop added,” I believe that my financial support will come from small donations from ordinary
citizens that want a positive change in city leadership. They want leaders that are not in the
pockets of the chamber or those that support issues that harm our city and its residents”.

Racop announced his intention to seek the office last October and did not consider formation
of an Exploratory Committee at that time due to concerns with ones formed by potential
mayoral candidates. With the ruling by Pulaski County Circuit Court Judge Tim Fox last week of
a suit brought by the city against the two potential mayoral candidates and the Arkansas Ethics
Commission, such committees are permissible under state laws and supporters have
encouraged him to form an Exploratory Committee.
