1. What information can oral questioning as an assessment strategy provide which cannot be given
by written testing?
Oral test is the better than the written test. But the only disadvantage is the
absence of communication skills in all the individuals which may give a wrong
results about the knowledge of the person. If the communication skill is
properly developed and conducted the oral test, it is the better way to
evaluate the students than any other mode of examinations.
2. When can oral questioning often used?
This type of evaluation is generally used to measure the individuals' knowledge
of procedures, equipment and theoretical concepts by commanding on-the-spot
responses. Though it is a prime component in many evaluation systems, basic
oral questioning is not usually graded, nor does it produce pass or fail results.
Hence, this method is seldom used as a sole criterion in determining the
participants' knowledge, competence or capabilities.
This method involves the teacher probing students to think about what they
know regarding a topic. Questions typically allow the teacher to keep a
discussion focused on the intended objective and maintain student
involvement.
3. When is observation used as an assessment strategy?
Observation used as an assessment startegy when a teacher presented with
questions to ‘rate’ participant behaviors, skills and abilities while students are
given a paricular activity.
4. What can observation as an assessment stragy give which cannot be given by other strategies?
Unlike some assessment techniques, observational assessment can take
place within the workplace itself. This can help alleviate fears of an unknown
environment which can add to the employee apprehension. It also benefits
the employer who do not have additional travel costs to the relevant
assessment centres.
Observational assessment can easily allow assessors to mark multiple
students / employees who are working on group tasks at the same time
giving a truer comparison that marking subjectively after the event.
With the physical demonstration of the desired task, the student is
immediately immersed in the actual work helping them to understand the
teachers requirements. It also helps the teacher to identify any skills gaps
which need to be addressed.

Because of what we observed. Students work have given much value by the teacher to
appreciate all the efforts of the students.
4. Did the teacher checked the output of the pupils before posting them in the pupil’s work
bulletin?
Not all
Because there are still on-process output that students are still working, so teachers will
not yet checked it, but those already finished works, teachers checked it first before
posting them in the pupil’s work bulletin.
If checked, what was/were the score/s or rating/s did most, if not all, pupils got or receive?
Most of them got the score ranging from 8-10. And also in other outputs, most students
got very good.
5. Did you see some displayed outputs of pupils where some pupils got a low score or rating?
Yes
For those students who got the low scores to know how far they are to those students
who got high scores to be motivated that next time they will do better.
