Mission
Our mission is promoting technologies relating to ships,

land and offshore facilities, enhancing the safety of life
and property, and protecting the environment.
QHSE Policy
The QHSE (Quality-Health-Safety-Environmental) policy of KR is
·to enable KR staff members to work ardently in an

eco-friendly and safe environment,
·to enhance the value of its customers by providing
technical services of highest quality in a proactive manner
which will not only comply with but go beyond the
requirements of its customers and those of international
standards and regulations of IMO, IACS, national
Administrations the purpose which are to promote the
safety of life and property and the protection of
environment,
·to do its utmost to promote technical development and
raise the quality of field activities to enhance the trust of
its customers, and
·to raise the level of management efficiency through
fostering of QHSE culture throughout the organization by
doing things right the first time and every time
To this end , K R is com m itted to establishing and
implementing the QHSE management system which is based
on ISO 9001/IACS QSCS, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001
(ISO45001).
The objectives (including targets) for each function level
shall be established in accordance with the QHSE policy
while taking account of the following:

· Compliance with the national and international standards, laws and
regulations, and other requirements which are related to QHSE
· Provision of satisfactory services through the identification of the
needs and expectation of its internal/external customers and
interested parties
· Identification of and undertaking of necessary actions against risks
and opportunities
· Assessment of risks related to safety and health of its staff
members and implementation of necessary controls (Apply to Head
Office and Domestic Branch Office)
· Efficient use of resources and energy and minimization of
environmental pollutant release through the environmental impact
evaluation (Apply to Head Office)
· Continuous improvement and innovation of business performance
and business management system, including its processes and
services
· Strengthening of competence level of its staff members and
acquisition of multi-skills through continuing education and
training, and
· Upholding of confidentiality and undertaking of ethical and
transparent management
To ensure the effectiveness of QHSE policy above, each

team and branch office shall establish its own KPIs and
objectives. Such KPIs and objectives shall be implemented
and managed by reflecting them in the annual business plan.
For effective and efficient implementation and continual
improvement of QHSE system, the QHSE management
representative shall be appointed and provided with
adequate responsibility and authority.
Every personnel shall clearly understand and faithfully
carry out their duties and responsibilities in accordance
with the QHSE policy and management system, and all
managers shall exercise leadership to enable their staff
members to do their utmost in this respect.
KR Chairman and CEO shall ensure the continuity of
suitability, adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of the
QHSE management system through management review.

Preface
Founded in 1960, the Korean Register (KR) is one

of the leading classification societies in the world
renowned for its technical service excellence.
