Mister – Kinder/1st grade Tiny Miss – PreK/1st grade
Little Miss – 2nd/3rd grade Young Miss – 4th/5th grade
1. The contestant must be enrolled in Pre-K or school in Calhoun County.
2. No contestant who is currently holding a title is allowed to participate in the pageant.
The Calhoun County Court is active! Some of the events being a requirement, some not, and there are also many opportunities for the court to earn hours on their own. 3. All contestants and parent/guardians must attend the photo shoot & rehearsal. If something should arise, please call Erin Smith at 361-220-2102 to let her know that your child will be late or will not be able to make it. The Calhoun County Pageant Board understands that there will be conflicts, but also feels attending these are essential to remain on the same page. 4. Contestants are to dress in “Express Yourself” attire – be creative! Make sure it is school and age appropriate. 5. Contestants are expected to arrive at the PLMST Barber Shop (behind Texas Traditions) at 1:30 on Saturday April 21st. Parents may go get a seat inside the theatre after checking your child in at the Barber Shop. They’ll be escorted back stage in time for their division. Last minute hair combing, fixing, etc. must be done prior to 1:45pm. 6. Judging will be conducted by a panel of out of county judges. Their decisions are final. There will be a Winner, 1st Runner Up, 2nd Runner Up, and Photogenic winner selected for each group. 7. Contestants will be judged on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the highest and a 30 as the highest score attainable. They will be judged in the categories of appearance, personality and stage presence. 8. All contestants will be asked onstage questions which will be given out at the pageant practice. The list will include several questions but contestants will only answer 1 onstage. 9. Once each group has completed their on-stage interview and final walk for the judges, they will be handed a participation trophy as they exit the stage & will be seated in the audience with their parents so please make sure to save a seat for your child! 10. Please do not leave until all winners are announced. The winners and runners up will need to stay for photographs after the pageant. 11. If for any reason one cannot fulfill their duties, the 1st Runner-ups will be promoted. 12. The parent agrees that if their child is selected, they will serve until their successor has been selected and remain bound by these rules for the term of their reign. No member of the court may enter in any other pageant.
