19th NATIONAL STUDENT CONVENTION

March 1 – 3, 2018, Colegio de San Juan de Letran - Manila


CONCEPT PAPER

INTRODUCTION

The 19th National Student Convention as the most prestigious event of the Council of Student
Chapters now invites all local organizations of EE and EET students nationwide. Since its birth in
1999, it has brought together students and professionals from all over the country to impart
wisdom and share expertise. Instilling the theme: “IIEE: Embracing Global Challenges Thru
Sustainable Energy Practices.”

This event was organized to support the professional growth and information necessities of the
electrical practitioners in the country. This convention is the largest opportunity to gather all
active IIEE-CSC Student Members, where this event brims with various activities specifically
designed for Electrical Engineering students and Electrical Technology students pursuing
academic excellence.

OBJECTIVES
The National Student Convention aims to:
1. 22nd Mega Seminar
• For students and professionals interact, in preparation for their future careers through seminars.

2. 14th Skills Olympics


• Aims to show the importance and value of skills and practical application of the Electrical
Engineering and Electrical Engineering Technology in the practice of their profession in the
future.

3. 31st National Quiz Show


• One of the renowned National Quiz Shows focuses on different subjects in the Electrical
Engineering field which will bind victors from different regions across the country to compete
for the championship.

4. 17th National Math Wizard


• Another eminent quiz brawl which focuses on different subjects that requires arithmetic and
applied mathematics which will bind victors from different regions across the country to
compete for the championship.
5. 1st IIEE – CSC Awards Night
• The Most Outstanding EE Student Award 2017, established in honoring the competence,
diligence and excellence of the Electrical Engineering Students with their compassionate
ideals, and building a rich legacy as an inspiring model to their fellow students, community and
country.
• The Most Outstanding Electrical Engineering Student Chapter Award 2017 gives recognition to
the exemplary performance of a student chapter for developing the electrical engineering
students as future leaders of the electrical engineering industry and partners in nation building.

6. Fellowship Night
• A friendly association for both students and professionals, the fellowship night is a time for
ceremony, tradition and good companionship.

7. On-the-Job Training Fair


• An activity to provide future career opportunities to EE and EET students by involving the
invited companies’ resource persons that shall cater queries and application.

PARTICIPANTS

TECHNICAL AND NON-TECHNICAL SEMINARS

No limits shall be entitled on the slots for the technical and non-technical seminars.
Furthermore, admission to both session of the seminars, AM and PM will grant a free
individual audience entrance to the quiz shows. Open for IIEE-CSC members and non-
members.

SKILLS OLYMPICS | AWARDS NIGHT

Participants of Skills Olympics, and Awards Night shall be an Electrical Engineering or


Electrical Technology Student, and members of the IIEE-CSC. Joining as a contender on
such are exclusive for IIEE-CSC members ONLY. However, EE and ET students who are
not members of the IIEE-CSC are welcome to attend the said activities.

FELLOWSHIP NIGHT | OJT FAIR

Participants of the Fellowship Night, and OJT Fair shall be an Electrical Engineering or
Electrical Technology Student, members of the IIEE-CSC, IIEE Professionals, and invited
companies’ resource persons.
