JUDICIAL AFFIDAVIT OF
MR. LEONARD C. MAGDANGAL

I, LEONARD C. MAGDANGAL, 27 years old, single,

residing at Brgy. Maligaya, Science City of Munoz, Nueva
Ecija, after having been sworn to in accordance with the law
do hereby depose and state:

That Fiscal Samuel A. Matias is the counsel who

conducted and supervised my examination as a witness at his
office at Provincial Prosecutor’s Office, Cabanatuan City;

That I am answering the questions herein fully conscious

that I do so under oath and that I may be criminally liable for
false testimony or perjury;

The following are the questions herein propounded by

Fiscal Samuel A. Matias and my answers in English Language;

Q1: Do you swear to tell the truth and nothing but the truth?
A1: Yes Sir.

Q2: Why are you executing this judicial affidavit?

A2: Because I want to freely and voluntarily give information
relative to the case filed by Victorio Salting against Alden De
Guzman for violation of the Anti-Hazing Act which transpired
last August 27, 2017.

Q3: How did you know Alden De Guzman?

A3: He is my classmate in Araullo University College of Law
and we belong in the same fraternity (name of fraternity)

Q4: For how long have you been a member of the fraternity?
A4: for almost a year now.

Q5: What about Alden De Guzman, if you could tell?

A5: More or less 2 years since he is senior than I.

Q6: What is your position in the fraternity?

A6: None sir, I am just a member.

Q7: What about Alden De Guzman?

A7: He is the Master Initiator.

Q8: What is/are the functions of the master initiator?

Q8: He is in charge in the initiation of neophytes.

Q9: How about Victorio Salting? How do you know him?

A9: He is also my classmate in the same course and same
university.

Q10: Can you narrate to us what you have witnessed on

August 27, 2017?
A10: We were in a private resort in Brgy. Camp Tinio,
Cabanatuan City. My fellow frat members and some new
recruits were having a drink and we were singing in a videoke.
Then, at around 9:30 in the evening, a Toyota Fortuner
arrived. It was driven by Alden de Guzman.

Q11: How do you know that it was Alden de Guzman?

A11: I immediately recognized him the moment he went out
of his car.
Q12: Was he with anyone?
A12: Yes, he was with our classmate, Victor Salting.

Q13: What happened next, if there is any?

A13: Shortly after Alden de Guzman’s arrival, the neophytes,
including Victor Salting were all blind folded as they entered
a room.

Q14: What happened next if there is any?

A14: I just remained in the hall with other fellow brothers and
continued drinking and singing.

Q15: What happened next, if there is any?

A15: After a few minutes thereafter, someone told me to
enter the room where they brought the neophytes.

Q16: What happened next, if there is any?

A16: I entered the room to know what was happening inside.

Q17: What did you see inside?

A17: I saw a man lying on the floor unconscious.

Q18: Who is that man?

A18: Victor Salting

Q19: Who else did you see in the room if there is any?
A19: Only Fredodrigo Hierco and the other neophytes.

Q20: Who is Fredodrigo Hierco?

A20: He is the incumbent president of the fraternity.

Q21: What did you do afterwards?

A21: I ask my fellow brothers to help me carry Victor Salting.
We put him inside my car and brought him in the
hospital(name ng hospital).

Q22: For the meantime, I don’t have any further questions,

do you have any statements to add or take away on this
affidavit?
A22: I don’t have sir for the meantime.
Q23: Are you willing to sign this affidavit consisting of ___
pages to certify that all statements you made are true?
A23: Yes Sir.
