II. Course Title: Politics and Governance with Philippine Constitution

IV. Course Description:

The Course is two fold. First it aims to introduce to the students the key concepts, issues, theory and methodology of Political Science. It aims to provide
students with a systematic overview of the political world, with particular attention with the Philippine experience.
Second, the course examines the Philippine Constitution. It entails the substantial and directional presentation of rights and political institution provides by
the constitution.

V. Course Objectives:

A. General Objective: By the end of the semester, students are expected to be able to discuss the fundamental issues, concepts, theories in politics and
governance, as well as major political institutions and processes. Moreover, the students are expected to have developed a critical understanding of the
various rights and obligations as mandated by the constitution.

B. Specific Objectives:

Cognitive:
1.Describe the key concepts, issues, theory and methodology of Political Science.
2.Ascertain the vital concepts of the Philippine Constitution.
Affective:
1. Appropriately and analytically employ these concepts in explaining and understanding political developments, events and issues.
2. Apprise the constitutional rights of every Filipino and the responsibilities it entails.

Psychomotor:
1. Develop critical thinking via understanding the key methodologies of Political Science.
2. Demonstrate the values of critical and active citizenship in a democratic system.
