HOUSING AND FLATS

1. I live in a detached house in Osli with family.

2. We have a fairly big family house with 7 rooms. Downstairs we have
a big, light living-room with a sofa, a computer and lot of posters on
the wall. There is a small and fairly modern kitchen. Next to the
kitchen there is a dining-room with a big, round table and a lot of
chairs. We have a small bathroomm with white tiles(csempe),a
shower and a tub.(kád)
Upstairs we have the bedrooms with my brothers. There are beds,
lamps, wardrobes and books.
In the yard there are 2 garages and hobby room. In the garden we
have playing field and some fruit trees. We have a big terrace next
to the house.

3. We have a big garden with fruit trees, vegetables. We have apple,

pear, walnut,cherry and plum trees. In the summer we have
tomatoes, onions, carrots and peas.

4. No, I wouldn’t like to move to a bigger house. I think that our house
has the right size for the family.

5. I prefer the house because you have a garden with garage. The
neighbours are not near so you don’t hear them. You can invite a lot
of people because there is big space in the house.

I wouldn’t like to live in a flat because there is just small space for
the family. The neighbours are often loud (hangos). But you save a
lot of time because you don’t have to clean a lot.

6. It’s better to buy an own(saját) flat as(mivel) you can live in that or
you can let your flat our. If you rent a flat, you can’t stay there
forever and you have to pay a lot of money every month.

9. We get on well with our neighbours. We help each other if

somebody has a problem. When we have a celebration, we always
give them some cake.

10. We have radiators in the rooms.

11. We have central heating in the house. Sometimes we heat with
gas, sometimes we heat with wood.

12. In the rooms we have parquette with carpets. The kitchen and
the bathroom are tiled.
13. In the living room we have a lot of posters of famous films on the
wall. We also have some family photos on the wall. We have a clock, too.
In my parents’ room there are plants.
15. If you want to protect your house from the summer warmth, you can
use shutters, roller blinds or curtains. Nowadays more and more houses
have air-conditioning system.
16-17.We have a big terrace with a table and chairs where we have
barbecue parties or we just play games. In winter we don’t use it.

23. Our living-room is light and spacious. There is a red sofa with 2
armchairs with some cushions. There is a small wooden table in the
middle. There is a big bookcase next to the sofa. We have an old picture
and the computer desk opposite the sofa. We have a ….. carpet and lamps
on the ceiling.
