Activity one: cubes and paper. Key vocabulary

Activity two: a pair of scissors, colors, empty paper Square, rectangle, triangle, circle.
and glue

Introduction (warmer activity + teacher active engagement)

we will sing the hello song as the introduction for the lesson

then I will apply for them the shapes song.

After that I will open for them a PowerPoint and it include the shapes they have to learn such as
Square, rectangle, triangle, circle.

After that I will ask them some questions such as:

- Give me some shapes you know?


Time: 15 min

- Can you show me tringle shape in our classroom?


- What shape is this?

- What color is this circle?


Independent Experience (small group activity 1)

The students will have cubes and they have to so the shapes as the paper said for example the paper
says first they have to do tringle then circle …. etc.

They are allowed to do different shapes such as ‘start, heart…. etc.


Independent Experience (small group activity 2)

The students will have a paper with different shapes and they have to colour them then cut it and
paste it in the empty paper.

Independent Experience (small group activity 3)

They will be in the math centre and I will ask them to search for me some different shapes.

We will do some shapes in the air.
