Offering high speed bi-directional communication between mobile subscribers and applications across a
mobile network, Apliman’s Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) is a powerful and efficient

OVERVIEW
USSD is a technology unique to GSM. It is a standard capability built into the GSM network to allow
transmitting information over the signaling channels. USSD allows faster response than SMS applications. It
communicates to the Home Location Register (HLR) which allows USSD services to be available whether a
subscriber is at home or roaming.

Graphical User Interface

Apliman USSD uses the ApliBridge SDP platform, a heavy duty, reliable and exceptionally stable multimodal
platform that offers a Graphical User Interface that is very user-friendly and that is easily modified with drag-
and-drop editing. The Graphical Management Utilities offered by the feature-rich platform reduce the time
and cost of administering large-scale installations. It is highly scalable and enables operators to cost-
effectively deploy additional mobile applications and add new mobile services that combine and synchronize
data interaction with the simplicity and user friendliness of voice input and voice output.

Statistics and Reporting

Apliman USSD platform generates a complete set of statistics and reports available for the operator through
the web-based administration interface. These detailed reports reflect the performance of the system and
include information about USSD requests performed by subscribers. Detailed reports can be also generated
for each MSISDN. These reports are later used and analyzed for billing operations.
