EOC Hardware port instructions:
There are 2 RJ45 port on EOC module, one is debug port and the other one is uplink port.
Uplink port connect switch or ONU, debug port is local debug interface. After set up EOC module
management vlan ID, the computer can not communicate with uplink port directly, but can communicate
with debug interface.

1. Log preparation
PC IP should be in the same network section as sub-headend management IP. The default EoC
sub-headend IP is 192.168.1.5, and your PC IP could be 192.168.1.X (X could be 1-255, except 5, remark:
it's different in IP network), sub-net mask is 255.255.255.0.

2. Log into sub-headend WEB

Open IE, enter EoC sub-headend management interface
Input EoC management IP into browser, such as http://192.168.1.5
Name: admin, password: root

3. Operation status interface

Enter WEB page and see sub-headend operation status interface

We can see version, type, MAC address and operation time of AV master software.

4. Online MODEM
Choose online MODEM, and you can see on-line terminal information. Such as Series number, MAC address,
type, hardware version, software version, chain loss, upstream/downstream bandwidth, etc.

1).Terminal chain loss and upstream/downstream bandwidth information.

When terminal has data communication, the upstream and downstream bandwidth shall be displayed.
2).The last option is "add to white list", which can define terminal bandwidth service and business VLAN.
5. Basic Config
Set static IP of sub-headend

According to operator's network plan, configure static IP, sub-net mask, default gateway of
sub-headend. Click store, and reboot, the configuration will be effected.

"Manage VLAN ID" indicates the EOC module itself manage address vlan ID

"Host IP of trap receive" address is EOC SNMP management system server IP address, when
starting SNMP management system, please fill in headend management server IP address, and
enable "trap enable".

At this interface, can add terminal to whitelist, and configure different vlan ID and bandwidth for each lan
port (configure in service list).
l Vlan ID being 0 indicates no vlan
l Service ID being 0 indicates default service
l "Port enable" indicates this port is "enable"
l Choosing Broadcast protection\Multicast protection\Unknown protection indicates the maximum
quantity of data packets allowing passage each seconds, the quantity is determined by "storm
protection".
l The difference with online modem web adding modem is that in order to add terminal being
connected with EOC module on online modem, the terminal with other MAC address can be added at

"add device" web. When terminal is connected with EOC module, this configuration can be used.

During modem configuration, if keeping each lan port of modem corresponding to service ID 1 and 2
respectively, the bandwidth of lan interface shall be 1M and 2 M.
4）Default service

The interface configuration default upstream/downstream bandwidth and lan port vlanID
When terminal is connected with EOC module, the terminal shall use the default configuration if not being
added to whitelist.
Tips:
If the unauthorized terminal is expected to be unusable, we can configure the default vlan id as a wrong
vlan ID at the interface, so that the terminal can not be connected to computer because of using wrong
vlan, unless the terminal is added to whitelist and make correct configuration by manual.

7. Running state

Check master and management board operation status and version

1) soft update
Could update management board, master and modem.

2) Reboot

Could reboot master, management board and terminal equipment.

3) Restore factory settings
Click "Set default" to restore IP, mask, gateway, VLAN management, etc.

Could change WEB name and password

5) Set WEB language

9. Restore EOC module configuration

To find "reset" button on EOC module

Procedures:

1. Switch off power.

2. Press "reset" button and hold it there, switch on power simultaneously.

3. Keep pressing "reset" button and observe "reset" light.

4. Release "reset" button after "reset" light flickering for 9 times.

5. EOC module shall restart and restore the default.
