NOTICE OF CONSENT TO TRANSFER OF CASE


FOR PLEA AND SENTENCE PURSUANT TO RULE 20

Pursuant to Rule 20, Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, defendant Ghobad

Ghasempour, by and through counsel, Peter Offenbecher; the United States Attorney for the

District of Columbia, Jessie K. Liu; and the United States Attorney for the Western District of

Washington, Annette L. Hayes, hereby request and consent to the transfer of this case from the

U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to the U.S. District Court for the Western District

of Washington for final disposition. A consent form signed by the parties is attached.

1. On March 28, 2017, the defendant was arrested in Seattle, Washington in connection

with this case. On April 26, 2017, an indictment was returned against the defendant in the U.S.

District Court for the District of Columbia, but he has remained in custody in Seattle,

Washington.

2. The defendant and the government have now reached a plea agreement and wish to

transfer the case to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington for the plea

and sentencing.

3. The defendant, his attorney and the U.S. Attorneys for their respective offices have

consented to, and approved the transfer, as indicated by the attached Consent to Transfer form.

Wherefore, the undersigned provides notice of the Consent to Transfer and requests that

the transfer be executed in accordance with Rule 20, Fed. R. Crim. P.
