This semester, Introductions to Business subject need all Foundation 1 handle
an event for Assignment 1. My class needs to hold an event on Sales Fiesta. We
planned to open the stall. My role is the leader of Marketing Committee. In my
committee have seven people will help me on promotion. They are Nurul Jannah,
Raja Nurfazila, Nursiah, Nurhanis Zuliqah, Aqmal Syamir and Muhamad Hazim.
Our first meeting held on DK1 for discussing what we want to sell on Sales
Fiesta. At the stall we decided want to sell some food and soft drinks. We include
the junk foods request for hostel students. Besides that, we also decided want
held Photo Shoot Session and request songs. All students from my Foundation
1C and Foundation 1A need to pay RM 10 per person. Our stall name is X-TER
Stall. The entire plan not moving like we plan. Some of plan must be canceling
because of technical mistake. At the stall, we sell lots of junk food such as Float,
Nugget, Soft Drink, Fruits and Fun Fries. We have three types of nugget,
Chicken Nugget, Beef Nugget and Tempura Chicken Nugget. We provide fruits
likes guava, papaya, and watermelon. We sell each pack cost RM 0.50. For
nugget and soft drink, it price is RM 1 and for float it price is RM 1.50. On that
day, I do the work at the back. I help my friends to fry the nugget and potatoes.
Some of my friends help Mutoharoh to cut the fruits.
We decided want to booking the empty room beside the warden room. We had
written the letter for booking but Annuar said we cannot do the Photo Shoot
session because the setting of lighting has a problem. The lighting is very
important during the Photo Shoot. Annuar has the lightning but somebody was
rent it for wedding photo shoot. So we must cancel our plan and decide a new
plan. Annuar give an opinion that we can sell accessory computer to replace the
photo shoot planning. While we sell the foods, students may look at the computer
accessory. As we know, students KPMSI is hard to find the better computer
accessory out there. It so far to student finds it at town like Ipoh. We take 5 tables
at Seri Meranti Room and put it at the cafeteria. We actually must build up the
tent a night before the event. We plan to build it on that night. Another class had
built it early than my class. Annuar said boys will build it tomorrow morning.

Beside that, our request songs and request foods also cannot move on. Before
this, we decide to join with HND4 event but there change their date on another
date. We cannot follow because we have a lot of things want to do. So we all
decided held on 10 April 2009. It is on Friday. So we cannot make a request
song because of we must respect the days and the lecturers who comes to café
and take a lunch. Request Food not moving on because of students is too busy
to finish their assignment. Beside that, this is the first time we try to promote
request regarding foods. Before this, students always see the request of flowers.
So we think we should try new things. But as a result, we failed to sell it.
From the beginning of the event some of my friends did not participate from
beginning until the end of the program. Just a little bit of them did not give good
cooperation. I still do my work and help my friends at kitchen to fry the nugget.
Even I felt so angry, I still enjoy doing my work and sell our food to students who
coming to our stall. My friends and I erase all the negative thinking and continue
our work.
From this event, I have learned many things such as time management. Beside
that, I also learn how to tolerate with my friend. I as a leader must have good
communication style with my team. If my messages not clear, they will not know
what they must to do. My team had given me a good cooperation when I need
their help. If I had chance to reorganize the event, I will handle it wisely. I will
promote my stall with the greatest promotion. I will introduce my stall to all
students in KPMSI, that my stall has the delicious food and good computer
accessories. The most important is, I will give the good services to customers
and I will use all the skill that I learn and apply it during my event.

As a conclusion, our event going smoothly. Even we had faced a lot of problems,
we quickly solve it. Other than that, we can see the relation between Foundation
1C and 1A become closer. Then, what makes the event more fun is during the
selling, Foundation 1 compete with each other to gain more customers to come
to their stall. We enjoy during the selling and lot of laugh between us. Thank to
Madam Kamariah who give us a lot of support and opinions. Even we change our
plan last minute, we can cover it wisely. This is first time for me to handle an
event and my friends and I manage to get it. I hope I will handle it again. Fro this
event I had learns how to sell goods and encourage customers to my stall.
