I. DETERMINING THE OBJECTIVES

 To critically analyze the housing condition of selected families in


the community of Purok Ligaa.
 To assess the health needs of selected families in the community
of Purok Ligaa.
 To determine the adequacy of living space of selected families in
the community of Purok Ligaa.

II. DEFINING THE STUDY POPULATION

The subjects of our study are the families having a composition of five
or more members from the different clusters of Purok Ligaa, Brgy. Talim,
Isabang, Lucena City. The researches have chosen 15 families. Our target
respondents are those mothers since they are the one engaging in a family
life.

III. DETERMINING THE DATA TO BE COLLECTED

The study focuses on the health and economical conditions of selected


families in the community of Purok Ligaa, Brgy. Ibabang Talim, Isabang,
Lucena City. The group formulated a questionnaire that will be of help in
obtaining necessary information needed to identify their problem specifically
with regards to the housing condition, health needs, and adequacy of living
space they have.

IV. COLLECTING THE DATA

In order to gather the necessary data, the group of researchers


conducted a house-to-house visit on the selected families composing of 5 or
more members from the different clusters of Brgy. Ibabang Talim, Isabang,
Lucena City and conducted an interview with the mothers of the said
community.

V. DEVELOPING THE INSTRUMENT

This is the instrument that the researchers can utilize during the data
collation. The researchers chose to have the survey questionnaire because it
provides a clear analysis on how the data can be collated. The researchers
will be guided by the questionnaire and it will help them obtain data needed.
The questionnaire is a two point scale answerable by yes or no in which the
respondents will check the corresponding answer.

VI. ACTUAL DATA GATHERING

During the actual data gathering, each member of the group has
different task to accomplish in order to facilitate ease in the gathering of
data in a limited time. The researchers are equipped with the knowledge,
skills and attitude on what to do and to say to the respondents.

During the actual data gathering, the researchers have visit house to
house wherein they instructed the respondents on how to answer the
questionnaire and made it sure that they are understood by the respondents.
In cases of some who do not understand it well and is not able to read the
questionnaire, the researchers facilitated the process of answering through
reading it to them, loud and clear. The researchers obtained an accurate,
reliable and complete data that will serve as baseline data in doing the
problem-oriented community diagnosis.

Question #1: Pagmamay ari niyo po ba ang bahay na inyong


tinitirahan?
Answer: Out of 100%, 86.67% of the respondents answered Yes (Oo) that
they own their houses; and 13.33% of the respondents answered No (Hindi)
that they do not own their houses.

Interpretation: It signifies that most of


13 the respondents own their houses.
Question #2: May sarili po ba kayong palikuran?
Answer: Out of 100%, 73.33% of the respondents answered Yes (Oo) that
they own a private type of toilet; and
26.67% of the respondents claimed that
they do not own a private type of toilet.

Interpretation: It signifies that most of


the respondents own a private type of
toilet; hence, few among the
respondents use public type of toilet.

Question #3: Natutugunan niyo po ba ang pangangailangan ng


bawat miyembro ng pamilya?
Answer: Out of 100%, 60% of the respondents answered Yes (Oo) that they
can provide the needs of each family member; and 40% of the respondents
claimed that they cannot provide the needs of each family member.

the respondents can provide all the needs
of each family member.

Question #4a: May permanente po bang trabaho—kayo?


Answer: Out of 100%, 33.33% of the respondents answered Yes (Oo) that
they have permanent jobs; and 66.67% of the respondents claimed that they
do not have permanent jobs.

jobs since they are the one assigned to
stay in the house to do chores.

Answer: Out of 100%, 60% of the respondents answered Yes (Oo) that their
spouses have permanent jobs; and 40% of the respondents claimed that
their spouses do not have permanent
jobs.

permanent jobs; hence, few have jobs
that are contractual.

Question #5: Sapat po ba ang kinikita niyo para sa pang araw araw
na gastusin?
Answer: Out of 100%, 66.67% of the respondents answered No (Hindi) that
their salary is not enough to provide the
needs of each family member; and
33.33% of the respondents claimed that

needs of each family member.

Interpretation: It signifies that most of
the respondents claimed that the family
income is not enough to provide the
needs of each family member.

Question #6: Nagpupunta po ba


kayo sa health center?
Answer: Out of 100%, 66.67% of the
5 respondents answered No (Hindi) that
10 they do not often seek medical attention;
and 33.33% of the respondents claimed that they usually go to health center
for check-up.

Interpretation: It signifies that most of the respondents do not often seek


medical attention or go to health center rather they go to quack doctors.

Question #7: Mayroon po ba kayong kaalaman tungkol sa family


planning? (oo kung mayroon, hindi kung wala)
Answer: Out of 100%, 66.67% of the
respondents answered No (Hindi) that
they do not have knowledge about family
5 planning; and 33.33% of the respondents
claimed that they have knowledge about
10 family planning.

Interpretation: It was evident that most


of the respondents do not have
knowledge about family planning. This
has become a contributing factor on why
their family composition is beyond the
expected one.

Question #8: Nakakapag-aral po ba ang lahat ng inyong mga anak?


Answer: Out of 100%, 40% of the respondents answered No (Hindi) that not
all of their children can afford to study;
and 60% of the respondents claimed that
6 all of their children can afford to study.

Interpretation: It signifies that most of
the respondents claimed that they can
afford to enroll their children to go to
school.

Question #9: Nakakakain po ba ng sapat ang bawat miyembro ng


pamilya?
Answer: Out of 100%, 60% of the respondents answered No (Hindi) that
they do not have enough food resources for each family member; and 40%
of the respondents claimed that they can provide enough food resources for
each family member.

Interpretation: It signifies that most of

the family member; hence, the resources
that they have is limited.

Question #10: Angkop po ba ang laki

Answer: Out of 100%, 33.33% of the respondents answered Yes (Oo) that
they have adequate living space; and 66.67 % of the respondents claimed
that they have inadequate living space.

XI. PRIORITY SETTING

After knowing the existing problems, the researchers rank them in


order to identify which should be the priority problem.
