PROCEDURE

Introduction (__min.):

Hook/Attention Grabber:
Assessment of Prior Knowledge: I will prepare a small handout for the students to complete during
check for understanding. This handout will check to see if they students retained what we practise last
class and if need to go through the content slower or faster. Also so I can see which students need
more attention.
Advance Organizer/Agenda: (write on the board)

Agenda

page.

Body (__min.):

Learning Activity #1: March Journal

Assessments/Differentiation:
Learning Activity #2: Carpet Time
Assessments/Differentiation:
Learning Activity #3: Check for understanding
Assessments/Differentiation: Make sure students are aware what the answer is and why. Give a small review if
the students need it and if there are students that were not in attendance during the last class. (MONDAY)
Learning Activity #4: Make Patterns with students
Create a pattern with a same object but just changing an attribute.

Do a pattern with the students
Have the students create one (Pick a shape and change the color)
Closure ( __min.):

Consolidation/Assessment of Learning: Have students summarize what we learned today.

Feedback From Students: Thanks to those students that worked really hard to complete their handout.
Feedback To Students: Rate how hard today's class was talking about patterns. Using your hands 5
really hard 1 easy.
Transition To Next Lesson: We need to get ready for Mrs. Colons math(maybe science or art) class
