Phua Khein Seng is a young Malaysian who invented the flash drive. A
flash drive is a memory device for storing information to or from a
computer. He invented the flash drive when he was 27 years old.

Khein Seng is from Sekinchan, Selangor. He left Malaysia at the

age of 19 to pursue a degree in electrical control engineering at Chiao
Tung University, Taiwan. It was during his third year in university that he
began conducting research into flash memory technology. Khein Seng
was a top student. After he finished his studies, he set up a company
with his friends.

Khein Seng’s success has brought him a lot of awards. His advice
to people who want to be successful is to have patience with the things
they are doing. He also added that one must not give up but keep
