The bottle water story

1. What are the problems derived from drinking bottled water? Mention two
problems at least.
When oil is extracted to make water bottles and when there is no efficient regulation
of waste.
2. What is the difference between bottled water and drinking water?
The difference is that drinking water comes through pipelines directly to households
without limit and bottled water comes in bottles of limited quantity, bottled water is
2000 times more expensive than drinking water.
3. Describe the process involved in the manufacture of a plastic bottle?
The companies extract oil to produce the plastic and be able to manufacture the
bottles, then the bottles are filled with drinking water and then distributed and sold to
customers to be consumed, then the plastic bottles are not recycled but they are
sent to India.
4. What happens with the plastic bottles after throwing them?
A percentage is recycled but the remains are sent to other countries to be piled up.
5. What solutions can be implemented to solve this problem?
Create campaigns where the population is informed that the water supplied
complies with potability standards to reduce the purchase of bottled water.
6. Is this problem common in your community? What does the community do
to confront it?
Yes because people when they are out of their homes and feel the need to consume
water have to buy bottled water to supply that need. People usually carry with them
a bottle of daily use filled with drinking water
7. Are you going to drink bottled water again? Why? Why not?
If I'm going to drink bottled water but less often. Because I do not always have
access to drinking water
8. What will you do in the future to reduce the amount of plastic bottles used
in the world?
I will try not to buy more bottled water but when I buy I will recycle the bottles.
