Drillmec, an international company leader in the �eld of drilling and workover rigs
for onshore/offshore applications, asked PRAMAC to develop a special genset in
a trailer capable to work in dif�cult and dusty environment. To face such a critical
situation, PRAMAC provided the rig with 3 generator sets equipped not only with
desert environment �tting and tropicalized radiator, but also with special heavy duty
air �lters for engine and alternator. The generators were designed to work in parallel
with other gensets.

Drillmec, an international company leader in the �eld of drilling and workover rigs for
onshore/offshore applications, asked PRAMAC to develop gensets ensuring the
mobility of the system within a certain working site. The solution by PRAMAC was
made of 3 gensets supported by 2 fuel storage tanks of 10.000 litres each for a
long-running autonomy; in case of failures in the external loading system, the
integrated tank inside the container assured a 3 hours more endurance. The trailer
solution was to allow facility in moving the gensets where necessary, according to
the on-site conditions.

Statoil is an integrated global oil and gas company. Its main activity consisted
of the exploration, production, distribution, re�nery and sales of crude oil and its
derivatives, operating alone or together with other companies. PRAMAC has been
involved in the project in order to supply a generating set operating at very low tem-
peratures. The genset has been placed inside a 25’ container, equipped with motor-
ized louvers and electric fans to extract residual hot air generated by the engine, as
a self-standing heating system. The engine has been equipped with water and oil
pre-heaters, and an electric fan radiator installed in the external container space.
The fuel was pre-heated and supplied from an external tank, through insulated
pipes, making the installation suitable to work in -20° C environments.

PRAMAC supported the �rst Formula 1 racing held at night in Singapore city circuit.
The impressive �oodlight system has been powered by 25 generators all along
the circuit track. In a complete black scenario, every two generators have shared
common load, operating in parallel mode. The installation running independently
to the electric grid, has been supplying energy during all the event with a total
capacity of 405 kilowatt, the power used to light up 140 �ats.

PROJECT
ENEL, Italian energy utility, is running several power plants in the Aeolian Islands
(Sicily) independent to the grid.
PRAMAC has been awarded for the revamping of these power plants including old
gensets dismantling and new gensets installation.
The full project lifetime has been of almost 2 years and it involved 6 sub-power
plants (placed in 5 different islands) which supply power locally (electricity in the
island comes only from the genset’s power plants).

Salini is a private industrial group specialized in the construction of major works. It is
engaged in the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance dam construction, Africa’s biggest dam,
to be completed in 2017 generating up to 15,000 gigawatt hours per year. The site is
located at approximately 500 km north-west of Addis Ababa, on the Blue Nile, in the
Benishangul - Gumaz National Regional State. Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam will
be the largest dam in Africa: 1.800 m long, 170 m high with an overall volume of 10
million cubic meters. Salini, already involved in the construction of mega-projects (the
Tana Beles, Gibe I and Gibe II dams in Ethiopia, Gibe III..) was responsible for the entire
building project and needed to guarantee a continuous power supply, as economical
as possible, because until such time as the dam starts providing hydroelectric power,
it has to have a separate supply from elsewhere. To ensure power, PRAMAC has
supplied 16 diesel generators to run for up to 18 hours a day while dam construction
is in progress and supply more than 40 megawatts of electricity for the remote
construction site extending over several kilometers. Each of the PRAMAC gensets
has been provided to supply close to 2.600 kilovolt-amperes for the construction
machinery and other electrical equipment on the building site in Ethiopia.

Company is located in Copiapó Chile with operation. The project is installed at
approximately 1000 km north of Santiago in the middle of the Atacama desert.
Customer requested modular power to operate, with low maintenance costs,
optimized fuel consumption and with standard protection against dust produced in
the operation. To ensure power, PRAMAC has supplied 8 diesel generators run for
up to 18 hours a day during mining operations and supply more than 4,5 megawatts
of electricity. Each of the PRAMAC gensets has been provided to supply close to
600 kilovolt-amperes for the mining machinery and other electrical equipment.

Production plant is located in the Taboguilla Island (Panama).
The generators support the electrical power of the island and also the ships that are
waiting to cross the Panama Canal.
Decal Spain (Panamá) offers storage and handling services for oil and petrochemical
products, the project was a 3MW power plant composed by 3 gensets of 1.260 kVA
each at 60 Hz, 480 volts running in parallel 7/24 h supplying energy to the island of
Taboguilla, a service point for all the ships waiting for their turn to pass the Panama
Canal. The required gensets had to be equipped with marine engines at 900 rpm
to avoid rusting problems. PRAMAC offered an alternative standard 1.500 rpm
gensets but with a stainless steel radiator to avoid rusting problems

The EHPAD Reynes is a nursing home located in Grenoble, in the Southeast part of
France.

Construction of Kirkuk’s Uni�ed Water Treatment Plant began in the early 1980s,
but was interrupted due to the con�icts with Iran and Kuwait. In 1993, the plant
was completed and commissioned. After several years of operation, however, pipe
and tank leaks began contributing to foundation and structural problems. Prior
to USAID’s refurbishment project, which began in January of 2004, the plant’s
production was approximately 22 million gallons of water per day. Furthermore,
the plant did not consistently produce potable water because of system failures
and operational de�ciencies. Following a year of reengineering, the Kirkuk Water
Treatment Plant is capable of delivering 95 million gallons of potable water each day.

For the Pallady Shopping Centre, in the East side of Bucharest, the gensets are
both for back-up purpose but they can also function in parallel with the Mains. The
requested powers were: Real - 1000 kVA LTP, Metro and OBI - 700 kVA LTP and for
the shopping area - 350 kVA. All 4 gensets must work in parallel with the Mains.
The entire complex covers an area of 100.000 sqm, has 800 m of outdoor exposure
and about 3.000 parking spots. The total investment was estimated at about 80
million euros.

Stereau, our customer for this project, is a branch of SAUR Group. By building
on the experience gained during the last 50 years, they operate in environmental
engineering, and offer turnkey solutions for clear water, waste water and sewage
sludge treatment plants.
STEREAU and PRAMAC have worked closely since many years. They chose
PRAMAC for this project due to their con�dence in our quality and price positioning.
Two PRAMAC generators were installed to provide backup power to a drinking-water
treatment plant located in Brittany in the west of France.
One GCW1000M and one GCW220D, both canopied and connected in load take over.

This project, located in Houston, TX was managed by our dealer Houma Armature.
The project consisted of 3 generators at water treatment facilities scheduled to be
re-built. PRAMAC was able to offer a package consisting of a GSW870M installed
on a 2000 gallon UL142 base fuel tank as a more cost effective solution than re-
building the existing generators. Because this is a critical backup application we had
to submit details of construction for the major components used in the GSW870M
to ensure compliance with local codes. We also provided on-site training for City
of Houston personnel on use and maintenance and also the initial start-up for each
generator set. These generators are an important part of their emergency manage-
ment and hurricane preparedness plan.
