Project Description: LexisNexis is a leading global provider of content-enabled workflow

solutions to professionals in law firms, corporations, government, law enforcement, tax,
accounting, academic institutions and risk and compliance assessment.
Lexis Nexis UK client has following different product ranges to cater the different solutions as per
the professionals requirement.
Visualfiles: The Visualfiles is a file management system and business modeling tool that gives
the ability to describe individual business components and the relationships between them. It is a
development tool that enables the creation of applications that organize and automate business
processes. Essential information is stored and accessed using a simple to use system that is
easy to amend as business and client needs change.

Visualfiles combines workflow, document assembly, data management, document management

with an extranet and web service capability that enables Visualfiles applications to act as an
integration hub linking both internal and external systems.

Visualfiles Online: Visualfiles Online is the web-based client case-tracking system which deals
in storing documents, information related to various fields that help in legal procedure that is
completely integrated with Visualfiles.

There are functionalities like matter query, matter inception, to do items etc. Online application
has very limited access to rights; hence all the functionalities viewed in the application cannot be
edited /updated. It’s just for the user to view online.

Responsibilities –
• Requirement understanding & knowledge sharing within the team.
• Planning and implementation of tests for various projects at various stages.
• Involved in functional testing
• Involved in System testing, Regression testing.
• Have the knowledge of Test Management Tool: Quality Centre.
• Preparation of test cases (listing the black box test cases for different functionalities) in
Quality Centre.
• Modification/Amendments to the existing test cases as per the change in the functionality
in Quality Centre.
• Defect logging and reporting in Quality Centre.
• Assisting QL for the CMMI compliance activities including, Internal Audit, took the
responsibility of Configuration Controller (CC).

QTP Automation: The Visualfiles application was automated using QTP.

• Created test plan and test scenarios.

• Created and scripts for automation in QTP using VBScript.
• Have the knowledge of using keyword driven and data table driven testing.
