First, we want to thank the MPA employees, the Eaton Rapids Fire Department, and other emergency

responders last night for a diligent job in containing the situation.

Last night at 1:30 AM a fire started in Plant 3 of the Meridian plant in Eaton Rapids; at that time Meridian
followed emergency protocols and established a safe perimeter around the facility. All employees were
evacuated. Two employees suffered minor injuries. They were sent to hospital for treatment and have
been subsequently released. Currently, the Fire Marshall permitted entry into the main facility for us to
do an assessment. As soon occupancy is authorized, our team will enter and fully assess the situation –
and we will provide more information at that time.

Power has been reestablished at Plant 4. We have recalled the first and second shift employees to
commence work on some machining, assembly, and paint operations.

The immediate goal for the team at Meridian is to perform our evaluation of damage so that we can assess
when we can return to normal operations.

Safety is our primary concern. We will provide more information as soon as we are able.

Finally, we wish to thank all of our customers, suppliers, community leaders, Federal and State agencies
for their support.
