Architectural Journalism Trophy

Architecture has historically been a vehicle of expressing the might and glory of imperial power and
domination. Inspecting the contemporary architectural practices, submit an article on the continued
relevance of similar intentions – be it political, economic, religious, cultural or social supremacy and the
dynamics of domination. While the arguments in the article may be exemplified with several instances from
international architecture, the primary narrative should prominently focus on ONE particular instance from
contemporary India. Highlight the communicative implications of the architectural expression, and
comment on the message embodied, critically interpreting and analysing it with reference to the current
techno-economic, socio-cultural and political milieu.
