Master’s Thesis June 2017 - May 2018
An Exploration of School Counselors’ Experience with Restorative Practices
• Intended to inform future research in restorative practices and future restorative practice training
needs for school counselors
• Collected and analyzed 10 hours worth of qualitative data via interviews
• Created a clearer understanding of school counselors’ knowledge and skills, roles and how they
incorporate restorative practices into their comprehensive school counseling program, as aligned
with the ASCA National Model (2012)
