How to step by step activate all brands of machines for Launch x431 EasyDiag:

Incl. instructions of completion of the scanner to the Launch x431 EasyDiag Plus
version

1. Download the archive archive1

In the archive there are 2 folders, 2 installation file and a PDF file (an
instruction in Russian how to use, how to register, etc., that comes with the
scanner, but in English).

2. To make it easier to work with folders and files, I suggest you create a folder
on the desktop, such as "scanner" and to rewrite everything from uncompressed
folders Easydiag . And keep the original, just in case, for future experimentation.

In the folder "Scanner" will lie files com-cnlaunch-easydiag , Pro3_3.06.011.05 and

folders 96859_v22.37 , VEHICLES .
Create a folder, for example, "AUTO" and it throws the needed stamps from VEHICLES
folder. For example, AUDI, BMW, BENZ, HONDA , NISSAN , etc. China is unlikely we'll
ever need. Delete the folder VEHICLES, not to interfere.

3. Set to Play Market EasyDiag program (only her and not some other) on a
smartphone or tablet.
3a. If you can not download (no internet on the phone), then the use of our folder
"Scanner" file com-cnlaunch-easydiag .
Copy it to any folder on the phone, I usually use the Download folder. Go to
settings, find the "Security" and it put a check "Unknown sources". And then click
on the file com-cnlaunch-easydiag . After installation, do not forget to remove the
check mark.

4. it Installs. Open the program (there is another link, then you can delete it).
Scrolls (there shows how to register) and go in the program. By registering
yourself (username and password write down in a safe place) and register the
scanner - the serial number and the code you received with your scanner. (Login,
password, and serial number and the code, I would be duplicated on any piece of
reliable, in the event of loss of the original).

5. Next, click on the "Menu" button (in the upper left corner - three dashes) and
see 6 buttons. We need - "Upgrade from a single button" . We go and see three lines
- Firmware, EOBD and DEMO. We need the EOBD . There is a default V22.41 (version),
click on the numbers and there is a black box, with versions of the EOBD, finger
scrolls to version 22.37, choose it. MUST only her and not any other. The ticks
with DEMO and Firmware can be removed. And click on the button siniyu - set EOBD
version 22.37. After installing EasyDiag exit the program.

6. Connect your phone to your computer. We go to the phone and see a new folder
cnlaunch . We go into it. And further folders: cnlaunch / EasyDiag / 96 859 *******
/ DIAGNOSTIC / VEHICLES / EOBD2 / V22.37 /
. Where 96,859 ******* - your scanner room, it at everyone
in the V22 folder .37 LICENSE.DAT find and copy the file and paste it in a folder
96859_v22.37 , which is in our folder "scanner" .

7. Now the contents of the folder 96859_v22.37 , along with our license file,
inserted into each brand (folder) that you have selected in the folder "AUTO" . For
example, AUDI folder in her V27.66 folder. And so with all brands. When copying, it
prompts you to replace some files, or rather two, agree.

8. Now, these brands (folder) is copied to the phone on the way cnlaunch / EasyDiag
/ 96 859 ******* / DIAGNOSTIC / VEHICLES / folders DEMO and EOBD2.

9. Turning off the phone from the computer. In no case do not run the program . Go
to the phone - in settings-manager application-EasyDiag. Press "STOP" button. In
memory of clean data and cache (my 6th andoroid, you might have a different
location).

10. It is only after you have cleaned the data and shut down the program, you can
go into it.
Again, scroll through and ASO, machinery steels without arrows down, ie, they are
activated. Enter again your login and password.
Press the MENU button, go to the "I", go to "Activate Device". See the information
- should be written at the bottom of your scanner is activated (serial number).
And the last manipulation - are back on the menu, find the Settings button, then -

11. Now we will improve our program. Again connect your phone to a computer and use
the file Pro3_3.06.011.05 . We throw it in the Download folder. In general, we do
the same as written in paragraph 3a.

12. Now we go on the way cnlaunch / EasyDiag and 96,859 ******* folder (a folder of
your serial number) is copied with all its contents to a folder on your phone
cnlaunch near EasyDiag folder. Exit and disconnect the phone from the computer.

That's all. Now you have the version PRO. It has more functions than just EasyDiag.
This you can then compare by going to one or the other program, but rather empty
your scanner worth $ 40 turned into a professional diagnostic tool costing a couple
of thousand.

NEW METHOTD: How to step by step activate all brands of machines for Launch X431
EasyDiag:

Incl. How to update X431 EasyDiag scanners to Launch X431 EasyDiag 2.0 Plus
version.

1. Download the archive Arhive2

In the archive there are 3 folders ( 96859_v22.37 , VEHICLES_09.2016 , New Folder )
and 2 file ( com-cnlaunch-easydiag , the X-DIAG_PRO3_V3.09.015 )

Items from 2 to 5 minutes , such as in the old method.

6. Set the X-DIAG_PRO3_V3.09.015 (take the file from the archive). We go into it
and immediately exit. The program creates the necessary files and folders.

7. Remove the the X-DIAG_PRO3_V3.09.015 .

8. Copy the needed model from the folder VEHICLES_09.2016 , in cnlaunch /

EasyDiag / 96 859 ******* / DIAGNOSTIC / VEHICLES /
Where ******* 96,859 - number of your scanner, it is for everybody. Take the file
LICENSE.DAT and insert it into each model.
8a. Manipulation folder 96859_v22.37 are not necessary, since we need only PRO-
version. And the brand of cars, except for the DEMO and EOBD2 folders, you can then
delete it to make room on the phone.
While you can activate all of these models. How to activate it is written in
paragraphs 6-10 of the old method, will not be worse. The only condition - that
would work EasyDiag program, there you put the old version of machines Arhive1.
But, I repeat, we do not need this program, we need PRO version.

9. Next, copy the folder 96 859 ******* with all it contains a folder XDiagPro3 .
The path should be so: cnlaunch / XDiagPro3 / 96 859 ******* / DIAGNOSTIC /
VEHICLES / machines brand.

10. Install again the X-DIAG_PRO3_V3.09.015 .

Actually, this can put a point. So say the test this method. But they say it can
not work.
Therefore, I did at another 2 points, not even checking - working or not.

11. If all of a sudden does not work, do the following. From the folder "New
Folder" copy files lib.cfg, libDEVICEID.so, libSTD.so, LICENSE.BIN, LICENSE.DAT and
paste them into brand cars, which does not work. For example, to insert in the
Mercedes V48.20 folder. The path should be so: cnlaunch / XDiagPro3 / 96 859
******* / DIAGNOSTIC / VEHICLES / BENZ / V48.20 ( I changed all of their brands).

12. Go to your mobile phone - in settings-manager application-EasyDiag. Press

"STOP" button. In memory of clean data and cache. The X-DIAG_PRO3 also check the
cache.

That's all. I checked in 3 machines - all works !!!

I will describe the recovery steps for both Locked and Blown
LAUNCH EasyDiag adapters .
We need a
dump of a non-blocked adapter (with 52 firmware on board).
The programer itself runs the programmer in the J-link
and the program in which I did everything

use the utility from Segger to turn our St-Link V2 (clone) into the J-Link
programmer
and install the program (downloaded from the link above) with which we will flash

connect the programmer to the pictures

J-Link (ST-Link V2 Clone)

 launch the J-Flash application
or ST-Link ( also works with St-Link V2, connect it to USB to get power.)

Create a new project select the controller STM32F207 IG

after all the procedures connect our adapter to the computer and connect it to the
program in the Target tab, select Connect

Install instructions:
Install Easydiag from Google Store.
Run software, create an account and register your interface.
Click on EOBD icon to install free EOBD software.
Now go to menu / update, click on the arrow by EOBD, select version 22.37 and
download it.
Open cnlaunch\EasyDiag\96859XXXXXXX\DIAGNOSTIC\VEHICLES\EOBD2\V22.37 folder and
find LICENSE.DAT
Save this file for later.
Uninstal Easydiag and delete all folders inside cnlaunch folder.
Extract files from downloaded X431PRO_Android.RAR and copy them into cnlaunch
folder in your device.
Now you have this folders: cnlaunch\96859XXXXXXX\DIAGNOSTIC\VEHICLES3\EUROPE
Rename 96859XXXXXXX folder with serial number of your interface.
Inside cnlaunch folder is X-431_Pro3v3.06.011v3.apk
Run installation.
Now find your LICENSE.DAT file (you saved it before, right?) and copy into all
manufacturers folders.
For example in: cnlaunch\96859XXXXXXX\DIAGNOSTIC\VEHICLES3\EUROPE\OPEL\V41.50
That is all.

Every thime you add new folder/brand must go to apps / X-431 PRO3 and clear cache
and data.

Tested with yellow Launch EasyDiag 2.0 interface and android 6.0.1

The Follwing part marked in Blue is for Launch Easydiag plus running official
software

How to download & install Launch EasyDiag app on Android

The EasyDiag App is free to download in Google Play.

1. Turn on your Android device. Be sure that you have a strong signal that links to
the network.

2. Go into Google Play. Google Play can be found in the following URL as well:
https://play.google.com/store.

3 Key in easydiag in the search bar and click �search� icon.

4. Click the INSTALL to start installing.
5. When installation is complete, tap the HOME button, an Easy Diag icon will
appear on the home screen.

How to download & install EasyDiag app on iOS

The EasyDiag app is available and free to download in the Apple App Store.
1. Turn on your iOS device and click on the App Store icon.
2. Key in easydiag in the search field to start searching.

3. Once found, click the download icon (Note: The iOS device will ask for your
Apple Store password if necessary, input it when prompted and click OK. This will
begin your download).
4. When download is complete, tap the HOME button, you will see a EasyDiag icon on
the home screen.

How to register Easydiag 2.0 Plus

Before using, you should have a CC number.if you have already registered CC, input
your CC number and password to login.
Tap [Login] in picture software layout, a screen similar screen will appear

For new users, tap [Register] to proceed to next step. For existing users, input
your Username and Password to login directly.

Input the required information, and then tap [Register and Login] (for Android) or
[Register] (for iOS), a dialog box will pop up.
Tap Register Connector to continue. Input the Serial Number and Activation Code of
the connector, which can be found in Password Envelope. After inputting, tap
Confirm.
To register the connector later and exit, tap No Connector.
Alternatively, you can also register your connector by tapping �Activate Device� in
�Mine� (for Android) or �Private Information� (for iOS). For details, please refer
to Chapter 4.5 �Connector Activation�.

NOTE: When registration is successful, a confirmation letter will be sent to your

registered mailbox. In case of forgetting the password, you can retrieve it via
mailbox.

How to activate Launch X431 Easydiag connect tor

If you did not register the connector for initial use, you can also register it
using the following steps:
1. Tap �Mine� (for Android) or �Private Information� (for iOS).
2. Tap Activate Device to enter

3. Input the Serial Number and Activation Code, which can be found in the password
envelope in the package.

How to Purchase and Download the Launch Diagnostic Software

Attention: The purchasing agreement for the software is for ONE year subscription.
Before diagnosing a vehicle, you have to purchase the diagnostic software and
download it.
Thedownload icon located on the lower right corner of the diagnostic software logo
means that the diagnostic software has not been purchased and downloaded.
How to purchase Easydiag diagnostic software
Follow the steps described below to proceed:
1) Go into [Settings] to confirm that the current serial number is proper.
(Note: If you have not registered more than one connector, please ignore this
step.)
2) Tap the desired vehicle brand logo, you will see the software information
interface. Here we take GM as an example.

Tap [Purchase Now] to go into Order Confirmation interface.

To order more, tap [Add to Shopping Cart]. After selected, tap shopping car to
enter the Shopping Cart to make an order.
To obtain preferential purchase, you are suggested to place an order for software
package. Tap the desired software package to start purchasing.
Note: Alternatively, software package can be purchased directly by tapping
�Purchase software package� logo on the Diagnose main interface.
Tap to share your software experience and comment on Facebook or Twitter.
3) Check whether your order information is right or not, and then tap to go into
payment interface.
4) Select a payment type. On payment page, double confirm such information as
diagnosis software order name, order number, product serial number, total price and
order time. (If necessary, take a note of the order number.) Follow the on-screen
instructions to complete the payment.

How to download Easydiag software from Launch

Only after payment has been made for diagnostic software or software package can
the software or software package be downloaded.
Tap and choose �Diagnose� from the function menu to enter.
Here we take DEMO as an example.
1. Tap DEMO logo, a screen similar to the following will appear

For Android users:

Note: If you registered several EasyDiag / EasyDiag Plus connectors, a dialog box
prompting you to select Serial No. will pop up on the screen. Tap or to choose the
desired connector to download the software.
For iOS users:
Note: If you registered several EasyDiag / EasyDiag Plus connectors, tap to choose
the desired connector to download the software.
2. Tap [Download Software] (for Andriod) or [Check Download] (for iOS).

Click on to start downloading.

Tap to return to the Diagnose main interface and the icon of the DEMO disappears

Done!

Reply 1: Both of these have the same hardware. None of them are clones of anything
also. A3 is fully china version of ICOM, there is no original version looking like
this crap. NEXT is just looking as genuine NEXT, but with old A1/A2 hardware
inside, like A3.
Reply 2: I recommend buying an original Icom next. It is priced roughly at 500
euro. Take in consideration that you will probably work on cars that are worth 30-
40k euro or maybe more and if your chinese icom fails you even once, you will be
spending a lot of money on a bricked ecu.
Reply 3: You can have a Icom Next HQ clone if you don�t have much budget of it.
This tool handles multiprogramming and coding quite nicely, much faster in BMW F
and G series and if flashing the complete vehicle. It supports gigabit Ethernet too
to be future proof, there currently is not gigabit Ethernet protocol defined yet
for autos. will be compatibility for future cars. Also, it has a better wifi card
and USB3.0 instead of USB2.0 (USB 3.0 is theoretically more than ten times faster
than USB 2.0. We need usb 2.0 or usb 3.0 flash drive formatted with FAT32.)
No comments on China knockoff quality, I mean a working ICOM Next interface.
Reply 4: Buy a icom next original or HQ clone, these are for a decent price now
