I studied abroad (Poland), where "liceum" is considered nearly equal to UK's college. I was attending "Mathematics and
IT" profiled class, including advanced mathematics, physics and IT education, when compared to other classes. At the
end of this level of polish education system, each student takes a final exam, called "maturity exam" - I chose
mathematics, physics and english and geography as additional subjects - grades listed above are the grades recieved at
maturity exam (similiar to UK's A-levels)

Q2. Describe a difficult project or task that you completed during University. What was your role, what obstacles were
encountered, how did you overcome them and what was the end result?
As Formula Student project means great involvement and increased workload on every student participating, it is
always hard to make a good team-spirit. I was involved in Formula Student for three years and experience many ups
and downs of it - this year I was responsible for the whole team as it's manager - I wanted to make sure that everyone
feels good anytime - I succeded because of many meetings with more experienced team alumni, who noted the bad
sides of Fromula Student, including gossips, unnecessary stress, problems with classes attendance and many more.
This year we wanted to be open to others, so I designed feedback-forms to leave gossiping behind - it did not work at
the very begining, as team members were shy to even use an on-line form, not to mention talking about emerging
problems at the team meetings - but finally, with a little help from some experienced team members, the ice broke and
everyone was aware of their positive and negative achievments, helping each of us to develop our strenghts and work
with our weaknesses. Finally, through other changes, including meetings with University Director and talking about
possible solutions for poor class attendance, we designed new method to involve Formula Student as a project which
could justify poor attendance in high-workload time before the competition and vehicle test phase. It was using a letter
from University's Director to our Professors and worked as a charm, so we could focus on vehicle development while
attending our exams and additional classes after the competition. After all, including some more minor adjustments, we
managed to form a really unique kind of friendship between the team members - We have been together during the
most succesfull and the most tragic part of this project together - both crying and laughing. That team spirit was an
experience I will never forget.
Interests and Leisure Activities
Q3. Provide details on your interests, hobbies and leisure activities. Indicate any positions of responsibility or voluntary
work.
I like to travel with my bicycle - so far, I visited England, Iceland, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Czech Republic and
Slovakia with my bike and tent. I really like the idea of traveling without a car and a hotel - it makes you see and
cherish those little things you don't appreciate everyday. I am also a cycling hobbyst - I run my own bike workshop,
where I focus on vintage road bicycles. Riding a 40 or 50-year old bicycle that you have just renovated on your own is
a truly unique experience. I was involved in several voluntary organizations, including charity, dog pounds, science for
school-aged kids.
