He pointed to examples such as Solid Waste Authority, the

Center’s new relationship with EMCC since moving its facility from
Columbus to Mayhew, closer to the college.
Outgoing EMCC President Tom Huebner agreed.
“No success happens without a team or team effort,” Huebner
said. “…. Teams that serve a common vision are successful. When
team members each know what their role is, they are successful.
When each of those roles are achieved with excellence, teams are
successful. That combination of things happens here and it is some-
thing for which I am very, very thankful.”
Shaunak said Mississippi has a lot to be proud of when it comes
to the continuing improvement of education and workforce devel-
opment in the state.
“We are listening to you, business and industry, you wealth gener-
ators, to guide us as to where we need to be in the future,” he said.
“Who would have thought that after Airbus Helicopters — Eu-
rocopter at that time — we’d have two drone companies start in
Aurora Flight Sciences?” he said. “… Who would have thought PAC-
CAR engine company would decide to put their only plant in the
