Library Design
Kanchanaburi, Thailand
The library is designed for elementary
school in Kanchanaburi. In respond to the
hot and humid climate of the site, the library
has an extended roof to maximize ventila-
tion and shade areas for the kids. The floor
has been elevated and security measures
have been installed – this prevents mois-
ture to reach the library as well as promote
safety for expensive equipment. The main
structures are fabricated in Bangkok and
assembled on site to save time and keep
budget in control. Most of the materials are
recycled, utilizing materials such as milk
carton roofs and windows made from
leftover wood
