It looks like your worksheet has the format as text

Click on Left-hand TOP corner to choose all the cells

Then, while the sheet is selected Right-click

And choose Format Cells:

On format cells

Choose General and click ok:

Now and NEW value you enter =3*2 will give you 6

For old formula, you will have to re-enter.
