1. Connect the battery to the tester. Charge the battery as per procedure
sheet EQ 08 DES 41-1.
2.
Set the discharge current to 10 Amps. And note the
time. TIME

During discharge, when voltage reaches the value of 21 volts, measure
the voltage of each cell beginning with the positive
terminal of battery. TIME

4. During discharge, note the time and discontinue discharge when any one
cell voltage falls below 1 volt of the battery voltage reaches 20 volts.

5. Calculate the capacity in A.h according to the formula.

Where, Q = Capacity (A.h)
J = Discharge Current (A)
t = Time of discharging (t)

NOTE : The capacity must not be less than 25 A.h during the first year of
operation and 21 A.h during the subsequent period of battery service.
6. Recharge the battery as per Maintenance Requirement Card 5 or
procedure sheet EQ 08 DES 41-1 for charging.
7. - Allow the battery to rest for few hours After finishing all the operation,
close the valves of the battery tight.
- Close the cover properly.
- Mark the C.T. date on the side of the battery.
- Complete the documentation.
