Dear John and Romy,

Thank you for meeting with me this week to discuss designing a new bedroom, entrance, living room, dining
room and library for you both. It was lovely to meet you and get a good understanding on what you would like
for the space.

I wanted to take the opportunity to confirm my understanding of your requirements and outline my service offer
for this project.

As discussed at our meeting, you want the house interior to reflect a warm contemporary space with a mixture of
Scandinavian and Mid Century Modern styles. You would also like an interior with some interest whether that
is from some bold colour choices, lux furniture piece, textured fabrics you are happy with all of the above. Romy
would like to incorporate her love for feminine design and colour into the interior while also being able to display
all items purchased from around the world. Lastly both of you want to have a place that you can entertain friends
and family from overseas.

In order to create this concept, over the course of the project I will:

Bedroom:
Provide one custom queen bed package including: upholstered bedhead, quilt cover, valance, and decorative
throw, pillows and scatter cushions.
Provide roman blind and curtain for 1 window treatment.
Apply decorative finish to the walls and ceiling, using paint finishes
Carpet the floor
Source a range of furniture including: bedside tables, chest of draws, and custom upholstered reading chair
Provide bedroom with decorative items such as artwork and accessories.
Provide ambient and task lighting.

Foyer & Hallway / Living & Dining and Library to all have:
Provide hard finishing flooring with rug
Apply decorative finish to the walls and ceiling, using paint finishes & wall paper
Provide ambient and task lighting.
Provide accessories and artwork for all spaces
Provide double window treatment with at least one set of curtains and roller/roman blind for 6 windows

cess. If anything is unsatisfactory and you would like to make adjustments please don’t hesitate to discuss these in
your reply (via email).

As previously advised I charge $70 an hour for consultation and sourcing, 110 for Scheduling and 130 for CAD/
Window furnishings. I would appreciate confirmation of payment at your earliest convenience so that I may
proceed with the design process.

Client Profile

Romy 40 and John 42 met in London one night at a gig John was playing with
his band. At the time Romy was working for a fashion house and went to see
this up and coming band she heard about with her friends.
After being together for a few years the band “Huntley” started to become
quite successful, and Romy ended up touring around the world with them. They
went to America, South America, Europe and Australia.
John and Romy spend some years travelling and living in different countries
when the band wasn’t touring. They enjoyed the experience of living in new
places and meeting interesting people.
Now in their 40s John and Romy have decided to move to Australia and set up
shop while John works on music and Romy starts designing her feminine dress
line.
After travelling around the world with John, Romy are excited to create a home
and hopes to use a mixture of styles that her and John loves such as Scandina-
vian, mid century modern while still keeping it contemporary.
John and Romy are a really outgoing couple and while they want a sophisticat-
ed home they would also like it to be eye catching and are not afraid of some
colour and texture. They both love to entertain and have a lot of people from
around the world that they would need to host here in Australia.
Romy loves anything feminine and wants to create a really deep romantic in-
terior that represents her nicely. She loves to display some of the pieces she has
bought from around the world and is excited to live in the first house that they
can call home.

process we discussed. It has been a pleasure working with you over this period, and I’m looking forward to
seeing our vision come together.

The furnishings I have selected have been chosen to create a romantic contemporary space. As per you’re
brief I have picked items with a mixture of styles, pattern and colour.

The soft furnishings items will complete the amorous look and will create the sense of elegance that you both
wanted. The selected fabrics are a mixture of printed velvets, stains and linens and dipped fabrics in blue
tones to create a mood you both wanted.

The approximate costs for the project are as follows:

$39,190.71- 30%- Deposit prior to order of materials

$39,190.71- 30%- on delivery of materials by manufacturers

$52,254.28- 40%- remaining balance on completion of works.

The project should take approximately 6 months from the receipt of the initial 30% deposite and ordering of
materials.

If you are happy with the above and wish to proceed please sign the document to execute the contract and re-
turn a signed copy to me via email. I will then sign and provide a copy to you for your records. Upon signing
and dating, this letter forms a binding agreement between both parties. I hope that you are satisfied with my
service and look forward to moving ahead with the project and the successful delivery of your new bedroom.
