Objectives of the lesson:

• creating interest in the topic of “Passion for Fashion”;


• reactivating the knowledge previously acquired about clothes and clothing;
• using vocabulary in context;
• using phrasal verbs;
• finding out new words;
• developing listening, writing, reading and practicing the new vocabulary.

Materials: textbook, worksheets, blackboard, notebooks, laptop

THE LESSON
1. Warm–up; The teacher greets the students and asks them if anybody is missing.

While- T asks Ss to listen to a record of a native speaker who talks about fashion in Listening to the record 5’

While listening to the record, they have to solve (in pairs) worksheet 1. Ss have Work in pairs
to guess if the sentences related to the record are true or false.

Post-listening
T gives the Ss sheets of paper(Worksheet 2) containing words related to clothes 15'
(e.g cuff, buttons, hat, collar etc). The Ss take turns in reading the Read the information and

gives necessary explanations, then she asks Ss to do exercises 56.1, 56.2 and individually

My favorite item of clothing is a pair of boots. They are light brown casual boots. They are a bit dirty and worn but I really
like them. I bought them from ‘Feet’, a shoe shop in Richmond near London. I bought them last year and I paid £100 - a lot
of money. I like them because they are very comfortable and are still quite fashionable.
