visual response of your choice to The
Crucible. Your creative visual response
must demonstrate a depth of
knowledge and insight into the piece
itself that extends beyond mere
knowledge and comprehension. You
may choose to develop a project based
on a theme, a motif, characters, plot,
etc. Your project may have an explicit
or an implicit tie to The Crucible but
your rationale that explains what you
have done and why must clearly show
the tie if it isn’t evident in the project
itself. Your rationale must be at least
one-page long.

behind the project is vague and/or inadequate. The student’s understanding of the
literature is limited.

The project is, at best, a poor attempt at fulfilling the assignment given. Links to the
literature are marginal or lacking entirely. Minimal details are present and the intent
behind the project is not clear. Understanding of the literature is not evident based on the
product submitted.
