24. Sperm is obtained in ways that are neither natu-
ral and nor ethical. It results from orgasm without nor-
mal sexual intercourse, a fact that insults the sacred-
ness of the reproductive function. However, when the
aim is childbearing, this act cannot be considered as a
sinful act of sperm loss, provided it is performed in
ways that do not disgrace human dignity. Nevertheless,
it requires special sensitivity and attention.
