IS.1.3 – Confirmation that the yacht is provided with operational guidance to facilitate safe handling of the yacht. NA

IS.1.13 – Confirmation that the valve chest of the collision bulkhead penetration is fitted on the inside of the forepeak on the collision
bulkhead and the valve is operable from the bulkhead deck. NA

IS.1.15 – Confirmation that discharge openings are arranged with efficient means for preventing water from passing inboard. NA

IS.2.1 – Confirmation that accommodation spaces are designed and arranged so as to protect the occupants from unfavourable environmental

IS.2.7 – Confirmation that the yacht complies with the recommendations in IMO Res.A.468 “Code on Noise Levels on Board Ships”. (Applicable
for yachts with the area of operation Ocean and Polar)

IS.2.15 – Confirmation that mechanical ventilation is as a minimum be capable of providing six (6) changes of air per hour, when all access and

IS.2.16 – Confirmation that air conditioning systems provide a minimum of 25 m3 of fresh air per hour per person accommodated in the

IS.2.17 – Confirmation that enclosed galleys as a minimum have a mechanical supply of 20 fresh air changes per hour and a mechanical

IS.2.18 – Confirmation that it is possible to reach an air temperature in the range 22-26ºC in any cabins regardless of external environmental
conditions during normal operation of the yacht in its normal area of operation. NA
IS.2.19 – Confirmation that the maximum stray lightning levels at bed locations are 30 Lux in cabins, with all lights shut off and the available
blinds/curtains drawn over portholes or windows. (To surveyor’s satisfaction) NA
IS.2.20 – Confirmation that efficient guard rails and bulwarks are fitted on all exposed parts of decks. NA
IS.2.21 – Confirmation that the height of the bulwarks or guard rails are 1,000 mm on all accessible decks unless a reduced height can be

IS.2.22 – Confirmation that grab rails are fitted in all corridors and staircases as appropriate. NA
IS.2.23 – Confirmation that a safe means of access to the yacht is provided at all times when in port, either deployed or available for

IS.2.24 – Confirmation that when provided, gangways, passerelles and accommodation ladders are manufactured to a recognised international
standard, they are clearly marked with the manufacturer’s name, model number, maximum design angle and the maximum safe loading, by
weight and by number of persons and side screens or handrails are fitted. NA
IS.2.25 – Confirmation that access equipment and immediate approaches are adequately illuminated. NA
IS.2.26 – Confirmation that boarding arrangements for pilots on are in accordance with IMO Res. A889 (21) “Pilot Transfer Arrangements” and
International Pilots Association (IMPA) recommendations. (Applicable for yachts ≥ 500 GT) NA
IS.2.27 – Confirmation that when access to the rig is an operational necessity, provision is made to enable persons to work safely aloft and out

IS.2.33 – Confirmation that inflatable life jackets are worn by crew when operating on safety equipment located on external decks and, at all
times, by all members of deck crew in normal operations. NA

propelled and equipped for use in Polar areas, survival craft and launching arrangements has a de-ice function in stowed position. Ice
resistant means that the craft has a rigid GRP, aluminum or steel hull. (Applicable for yachts intended for area of Polar Operation) NA
LS.1.18 – Confirmation that the yacht carries a life raft stowed as far forward and aft as is reasonable and practicable. (Applicable for yachts
