Boiler Plate and

Pressure Vessel
Steels
1 Steel description and applications

We propose carbon and alloy steels enabling manufacturers to Our steels find their way in the following applications :
produce large high-pressure vessels. Our range varies from medium • storage tanks, storage spheres
plates of small thickness, produced by Duferco Clabecq, to very thick • pressure vessels
bars forged by Verona Steel. They meet the requirements of a variety • boilers
• heat exchangers
of relevant national and international standards.
• gas turbines
• compressors
These steel grades are characterized by yield strengths from minimum
235 N/mm² to minimum 460 N/mm² and by good weldability.
The fine-grain structural steel grades are suitable for mechanical
forming and excellent welding.

4 Technical precautions
As the workability of boiler plates and pressure vessels steels differs and in the technical guides before using advanced techniques for
from the one to the other, it is recommended to observe elementary cutting, welding, forming, welding, etc... Our technical experts
precautions and to strictly follow the instructions given in the norms are at your disposal for any request or requirement.

The information given in this data sheet is correct at the time of publishing and is intended to give a general guideline for the purchasing and use of the steels. Values quoted must not be considered as
being guaranteed unless specifically confirmed separately in writing.
