Universal Design for Learning (UDL): Large print and auditory options for visually impaired.
Closed caption for hearing impaired. Adaptable seating options for those with attention disorders. Adaptable
keyboards for those with processing disorders. Tutorials of instruction posted on blog for those with
processing disorders.
Lesson idea implementation: Quizlet instructional software will be used to assist the learning of cell biology.
The equipment needed to utilize Quizlet is any computer, tablet, or mobile device. The students will initially
be introduces to the standards of information through teacher instruction . The teacher will utilize the
Quizlet software in and out of the classroom setting. In the classroom, Quizlet software will be included as
rotational center in the classroom to support the standards. The teacher will also post links to get to the
software on her blog with a tutorial on how to use Quizlet. Students will be able to use computers that
expand to large print and hit the sound button for students with visual difficulties. Headphones will be
provided for those need the auditory component. Adaptable keyboards will also be available for students

who have cognitive issues and process better with keyboards in alphabetical order. Quizlet has the option for
students to create their own flashcards and add images. The image the students select will also help students
with cognitive processing disorders.
The centers will rotate after lectures and students are given options for their technology reinforcement. If
all the students choose Quizlet then they can work cooperatively in groups or rotate every 20 minutes.
Quizlet has a drill and practice component and takes the flashcards the students create and they can make a
test. They choose the form of the test. It can be "fill in the blank," multiple choice, true or false, or matching.
Tests can also be generated as a combo of all four techniques. Since the students are creating the
information then it is geared to their personal understanding of the content. Teachers have access to their
work and can ensure they are in line with the standards. Software does not adapt to different levels.

Reflective Practice: Quizlet software is a great resource to help study away from the classroom and utilize as
a center. The student can play games, create flashcards, and get rapid feedback through drill and practice.
Quizlet can be used in centers in class or at home if the students has access to the web. I consider Quizlet a
Loti 3 since it has a game component and the user has to problem-solve . They also have to be able to
connect images and apply them to the vocabulary. I can bring the lesson to a higher level of thinking through
my other centers where the students are creating PowerPoints and using previous knowledge to connect to
the content. I will give them choices and time to rotate throughout the week and utilize cooperative learning
to accomplish project goals.
