2.1 Version ROS_4.14.2307


 The version earlier than the system software ROS_4.14. 2307 and Bootrom 20150403
cannot be upgraded to the Bootrom of this version. You should upgrade the previous
version to the system software of this version, and then upgrade the Bootrom to this
version. For details, see section 3.3 Upgrade to ROS_4.14.2256.

2.2 Version ROS_4.14.2284


ROS_4.14.2256(ISCOM2110G-PWR, ISCOM2110G), Bootstrap_3.1.7(ISCOM2110G-PWR,

3.1 Normal upgrade operations


3.1.1 Upgrade the ROS software
Enter the Enable mode in the ROS operating system and upgrade theROSfirmware via FTP or
TFTP.

3.2 Upgrade operations from versions earlier than


ROS_4.14.1991 to ones larger than 4M
The version earlier than ROS_4.14.1991 does not support being upgraded to ones larger than
4M. If you have to do so, upgrade it to a transit version, and then to a target version.

3.2.1 Upgrade to transit version


Enter the Enable mode in the ROS operating system and upgrade the ROS firmware via FTP
or TFTP.

4 Feature Evolution

4.1 Version ROS_4.14.2307


 The show interface port command can show the time and duration of link up of the
interface. The interface rate and duplex mode are added to the syslog of link up/down of
the interface.
 MdName can be configured with 16 bytes while MaName can be configured with 13
bytes, which fails to meet interconnectivity requirements. For the 802.1ag format,
configure the length of the MD name from 16 bytes to 43bytes, and configure the sum of
lengths of the MD name and MA name to be within 44bytes. Configure the MAID
length within 48bytes.
 The Web network management is modified to disabled mode by default.

4.2 Version ROS_4.14. 2284


 L2 loopback is added. Note: when used with Y.1564, only IP, TCP, and UDP packets
support loopback, and SMAC+VLAN loopback rule must be configured
(ISCOM2110G/ISCOM2110G-PWR).
 The following modifications are made in the dual systems: 1, original files can be
downloaded to the backup system disk; after modification, files can be downloaded to
the current system disk. 2. The function of upgrading or backing up the current system
(or configuration file) is added.

 Support packets out of ACL to learn MAC address.
 VLAN mapping in the egress direction is rectified.
 The bug of Flash startup (ISCOM2100 series) is fixed.

5.1 Version ROS_4.14. 2307


 It is solved by modifying the Flash drive that with a certain probability the device fails to
be upgraded, the configuration file fails to be saved, and the print of the file system is
normal upon device startup

The version earlier than the system software ROS_4.14. 2307 and Bootrom
20150403 cannot be upgraded to the Bootrom of this version. You should upgrade
the previous version to the system software of this version, and then upgrade the
Bootrom to this version. For details, see section 3.3 Upgrade to ROS_4.14.2256.

5.2 Version ROS_4.14. 2284


 It is solved that ROS fails to be upgraded in the bootrom and ROS when the ROS
increases (inROS_4.14.2178 only) (ISCOM2110G/ISCOM2110G-PWR).
 It is solved that the configuration file fails to be saved (for the temporary version of
December 2014 only) (ISCOM2110G/ISCOM2110G-PWR).
 It is solved that packets are lost in byte 9000 (ISCOM2110G/ISCOM2110G-PWR).
 It is solved that DDM printed incorrect information (ISCOM2828F-C).
 It is solved that security vulnerability of the web network management device causes
crash.
 It is solved that the configured rate of Combo interface is improperly loaded
(ISCOM2110EA-MA(A)).
 It is solved that the Untag packets are added with double tags (ISCOM2110EA-
MA(A)/ISCOM2110EA-MA(B)).
 It is solved that ACL fails to match DSCP of packets (ISCOM2110G/ISCOM2110G-
PWR).

When the 2 downlink interfaces on the ISCOM2110EA-MA are configured with the same
vlan-mapping both untag mapping rule, the Untag packets sent by these two interfaces
possibly become double Tag packets. ------downlink interfaces are isolated in the current
scenario, so this will not happen.

7.2 Issue ID: ESW00021418


When the interface trust mode of the ISCOM2110G is interface priority, it is actually based
on CoS.

After the ISCOM2110G interface trusts DSCP, it resets the original DSCP to 0 and modifies
the CoS of packets to local priority.
