Most of Seoul’s well-known tourist attractions are accessible by public transportation. MPass

Tteok Cafe Jilsiru 떡 카페 질시루

This museum exhibits Korean culture related to tteok, or rice cakes, as well as traditional utensils and cookware
unique to Korea, including soban (small portable dining tables), containers for storing fermented ingredients, tools
required for making tteok and more. Most international visitors enjoy taking classes on learning how to make tteok.
Classes are offered in English, Chinese, and Japanese.
Located on the 1st floor of the same building as the Tteok Museum, Jilsiru
offers traditional tteok as well as fusion rice cakes made with various fruits
and dried nuts, which can be enjoyed with some traditional Korean tea.
Up to two admission tickets to the Tteok Museum are offered when you
order tea at Jilsiru on Sundays.

3 Enjoying Jjimjilbangs (Korean Saunas)
Traditionally, Koreans visited jjimjilbangs to relieve exhaustion through warming the body and sweating, by resting in a
medium to highly-heated enclosed space. Today, jjimjilbangs have become much more than simple relaxation spaces,
and are popular tourist attractions that men and women of all ages can enjoy together.
Rather than staying in a highly heated sauna for a long period of time, we recommend instead that you stay there in
10-20 minute intervals, followed by a 10-minute rest.
How to Use a Jjimjilbang
❶ Pay the entrance fee. Receive locker keys for your shoes and clothes.
❷ Store your shoes in the shoe locker. Go to designated sauna areas for men and women and take a quick shower.
❸ Unisex areas must be entered fully clothed. You will be provided with a set of loose-fitting clothes to wear.
❹ Saunas and related facilities may be used as much as you want.
❺ Any fees incurred while inside the jjimjilbang may be charged to your locker key.
❻ When you’re done, check-out at the counter to pay for any extras that you consumed during your visit.
